- Herradura Beach - Costa Cat cruises daily to beautiful Tortuga island from the world class Los Suenos Marina. A short shuttle from Jaco or the surrounding areas and you will be greeted by a complimentary light breakfast onboard prior to departing in comfort across the Gulf of Nicoya in our 55 ft air-conditioned catamaran. Upon arrival at the island our guests have the option of going snorkeling or just relaxing under the swaying palms in their beach chairs and enjoying paradise. Next, our world-famous lunch is served. The next activities planned are some fun in the water on our banana boat ride, or a nature hike to explore the Island. Guests that are feeling adventurous have the option of renting paddle boards and kayaks from the friendly staff based at the island. Soft drinks, water and coffee are free all day; Rum Punch and Margaritas are served on the Island. Let our crew amaze you with the level of service one you will only find aboard Costa Cat cruises!

Additional Information
Daily trips to the stunning Tortuga Island are made by Costa Cat from the renowned Los Suenos Marina. A quick shuttle ride from Jaco or nearby areas will take you to our ship where you’ll be met with a courtesy light breakfast before we set sail across the Gulf of Nicoya in our 55-foot air-conditioned catamaran. Once we arrive at the island, guests can opt to snorkel or unwind under the oscillating palm trees on their beach chairs, soaking in the serene ambience. Afterward, it’s time to serve our globally-acclaimed lunch featuring both vegetarian and vegan choices as well as traditional Costa Rican dishes. Post-lunch, guests can either take a thrilling banana boat ride or embark on a nature hike to see the island and its magnificent ocean views from Tortuga Island’s elevated viewing points.

Amazing staff! - The staff were amazing! They were so helpful and upbeat. The lunch was delicious and the drink never stopped coming! We even had drinks delivered to us while we were swimming. The only negative was the beach. It was very rocky and full of sharp broken shells and coral that were quite painful. We were able to purchase some cheap water shoes at the little gift shop on the beach though and then we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

One of the best trips in Costa Rica - From beginning until the end this trip was nothing but outstanding and fantastic! The amazing crew cared for us the entire time with free drinks (with or without alcohol), tips for activities and a delicious lunch.
I got seasick during snorkelling and everyone of the crew took great care of me.
The island itself is of course incredibly beautiful and I highly recommend doing at least the short option of the eco-hike.
I would give more than five stars if I could. Thank you, Costa Cat Cruises, for these unforgettable memories.

Best time of the weeks vacation. - This tour was the best excursion of the week. The staff was attentive and so fun! Our teenage boys and adults had a blast. So worth it to rent the private boat for our group of 22 people. I would recommend to anyone!!!!

Costa Cat with kids - The Costa Cat crew made our trip to Isla Tortuga with our 2.5 and 5 month old kids so effortless. The shade was on point for our little ones, the snorkeling was just the right amount of time, and the lunch was delicious. Everyone was so friendly and made sure we always had a beverage in hand. Thank you Costa Cat! Cant wait to go back again!

I Wish I Could Give More Stars!!!!!! - This was probably the best customer service I have ever experienced! Let’s start with the tour itself. We left in the morning and took about an hour catamaran ride to the island. We were offered fresh fruit, coffee and muffins during the ride (all were delicious). Once on the island they offer bottomless rum punch or margaritas. The activities included snorkeling, banana boat ride and hike. The lunch was super fresh and delicious as well. The only purchase we made was the coconut rum drink-served in actual coconut!! The price (currently $8) was ridiculously reasonable. This alone I would have given 5 starts but what set them apart was the AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I felt like a princess for a day. The staff was always checking to see if we needed water, drinks etc. It impressed me how they knew everyone (about 40) on the trip by their first name. Our crew -shout out to Tony, Stacy, Wilbur, John- were exceptional!! All the crew is bilingual which was great since I don’t speak Spanish. If you are in this area of Costa Rica THIS IS A MUST DO!!!

Fun beach day. - Service was great. The tubing and snorkeling were fun. Made for a fun day. Saw dolphins on the boat ride back and the captain circled back a few times so we could see them.

“Must do” tour with great service - We had an awesome time thanks to the excellent service provided by everyone in this tour. This is a “must do” tour that is great for everyone. Tortuga island is a beautiful place. I highly recommend it!

Impressive for excursion the quality of the meal :) - Very nice staff, beach beautiful...Bring water shoes many rocks in water.The meal was very good, service in the boat was excellent. We did snorkeling, banana ride and when for the top for pictures... don't see the beach very well but nice ride to the top, not easy...More intermediate with the stairs.Unfortunately, only few people can be outside or on the top enjoying... we spend the ride back and forth inside when the party was out:
:) my only bad point.
