Must do for the experience! - My partner really wanted to go snorkeling during our time in CR. We were able to find this through Viator and read reviews on TripAdvisor too. It was a great experience! Staff were super informative. I felt safe and was able to see a lot of fish and a shark. Never in my life would I experience someone yelling “shark!” and everyone swimming towards it to see it. 😂 Also, on our way back, a whole family of Dolphins decided to follow along our wake and show off their jumping skills. Highly recommend this experience! ¡Pura vida!

Snorkeling trip - Pacific Coast Diving did a great job for our snorkeling excursion to the Catalina Islands. Sebastian and crew were warm, patient and extremely professional. Well organized trip of divers and snorkeling which made it fun to have both groups on the same boat. Boat and equipment all in great shape. Had fun and we will do it again the next time in Tamarindo

Snorkel at Catalina Islands - What a great time! The snorkel adventure was great. Sam was our guide. Saw white tipped reef sharks and a turtle plus really cool fish. I was fine in the water but some people might want a wetsuit. I would highly recommend. They served snacks and water. Staff was very friendly and I felt safe on the whole experience. Highly recommend! All the staff was great but Sam was the best!

Fun and adventurous snorkeling - We went on the snorkel tour as a family of 5. The staff was amazing, Jose the head guide was funny, talkative and very helpful. The boat ride afforded beautiful views. We saw sharks and many different types of fish and an eel. This is different snorkeling than I have done before. It is open water, as it mentions in the description, but it was wide open, with lots of currents and waves. Although it was easy to stay with our guide, the wind picked up and about half of our group didn’t do the second snorkel spot or came back to the boat early due to the rough sea. The waves were huge and crashing on the rocks. It was an experience for sure, and our adventurous 14 year son loved it, but our 9 year old was scared most of the time and he didn’t want to go out for the second snorkel (and I wouldn’t have let him) The currents were way too strong and the waves would have gone over his head. I would definitely recommend this for others with open water swimming experience and those that love the ocean. The staff was incredible and we always felt very safe. The snacks of fresh fruit and cookies was a nice treat too!

Recommended tour, had a great experience! - I had a very nice snorkeling tour! Before you start, you try on the fins and they check that they fit properly. Then you go to the boat and the tour starts. The trip to the Catalina Islands was very pleasant and you were able to take some nice pictures. During the trip, everything about snorkeling is explained to you in detail, but you can also ask questions at any time. There is also the option of having the guides take photos of you while you snorkel (for $10). I recommend that to everyone, you get a lot of good pictures and videos, including of what you see! Our group had really good guides, Eze and Jose (and Isa)! During the snorkeling trips, they looked after everyone very well, kept asking if everything was OK and really made an effort to make sure that everyone saw something if there was something special, for example, we saw sharks! When I had a few problems on the second snorkeling trip, I was helped immediately and I was back on the boat very quickly. The only thing that could be improved in my opinion would be a little more information about the fish that you see, or could see. Overall, definitely recommended, even for a complete snorkeling beginner like me!

Great Snorkelling experience - The team taking us snorkelling was very well organized, professional and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time out in the ocean and the marine life we saw. The only thing that would have made it better was a smaller group or a bigger area for us to snorkel in. There were a lot of snorkelers in a relatively small area where they were trying to show us marine life (sharks) but some couldn’t see or get close enough due to how many people were packed together and people bumping into each other. Overall it was a great experience and the views stunning.

Fun day out with the kids - I went on a snorkeling excursion with my 3 children. We were given a ride to and from the excursion. We saw many schools of fish (scuba divers saw many white tip sharks!!). Plenty of drinking water, ice tea, fruits and snacks were provided. The staff we SUPER attentive while we were out snorkeling, and always ready to help! The water was choppy that day and 2 of my kids got sea sick, and the staff were there to help in any way they could! Even offering their own jacket to help my youngest stay warm!

Snorkel trip did not go to Catalina Islands - We didn't go to the Catalina's Islands due to swells. Unfortunately the crew did not tell us this until the boat was on its way. We probably would have tried to reschedule for another day. The crew was friendly and professional. They took us to two rock formations just off the beaches just north of Potrero. The visibility was fine but there was not a lot to see--a few tropical fish. I saw more snorkeling from the beach at Playa Conchal. It seems like the scuba divers saw more.
