Well organised, go early and do the queuing things first! - I was last here 20 years ago. Very different. I had my car, took a picnic lunch which i left in the car but was able to access. Swim tip if you do the river, take the bag, they transport everything for you else you have to walk nearly 1km back to the lockers. Also at the end are toilets to change and the beach for a drink or another swim. Lots of events, plan your day well. Go to the Mayan village, not only for the culture show but they do the best coffee and the cemetary is stunning.

Great but crowded - We did 2 day Xcaret visit on our own without tour companies but with some tips of a local guide.
Pro tip #1: get a two day pass at the cashier entrance (not sold online). It’s a good deal! The park is so enormous, it’s impossible to experience it fully in one day.
Pro tip #2: if you want to see jaguars and pumas, get their upon opening of the park, before 9am.
Pro tip#3: do the river as soon as you can (preferably morning). It’s tiring, crowded, at times it’s dark, narrow and claustrophobic. We were kicked and pushed by others most of the ride. We got exhausted but it was a unique experience.
Pro tip #4: get a photo package as some places are really hard to take any photos in (exp, River)
We opted for the bag to get our belongings transport to last stop #23, where the river ends. The bag was free of charge.
Buffet lunch was overpriced, not really worth it. We brought in some snacks and a staineless tumbler to fill at water stations.
We were expecting to see more animals.
Many experiences are extra $$. Delphinium is a total rip off, where you get charged double for photos.
We skipped snorkeling and beach (too crowded)
The show was the highlight of the visit, which was a professional theatric production and lasted about 2 hours. We did it on our second day at the park.
Horse show starts at 5pm and was also great!

Excellent Xcaret experience - Everything is excellent I recommend the aviary that is spectacular, the facilities very clean, overall excellent and very well maintained, very well organized, you need two days to enjoy the whole park well. I've been several times and the facilities always look like new.
I did not put a 5 because when eating at the restaurant Veracruz the buffet, the waiter Rigoberto wanted to serve us drinks that does not include the plus pass without explaining to my children that it was extra cost, rejecting them no longer went to our table to offer us anything or remove the dishes that were piling up, I had to ask twice a supervisor to remove them, it happened but as if our table was empty, very bad attitude of Mr.

CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE TO YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AREA - The park is beautiful but I had a bad experience with the customer service area, my cousin and I acquired the little book called passport but we were not told that we had to gather a certain number of stamps, neither we asked and well we were sealing it according to the route we did, the park is great and in the end when we returned to the store by the shirt we were told that we would not be handed anything because we needed stamps, we committed that little detail did not tell us at the time of acquiring it and passed us to the customer service area, here if it was the really annoying thing, we were taken to a very small office near the store and the head of that area treated us with a superb and making us feel less intelligent than him, only because my cousin was going and I calmed down I stopped responding to his superbness and lack of humility, my annoyance was not because he told me that he would not give us anything but that body language in a tone of derision that he used. He told us that for the next one we must gather all the seals, bone gave us no alternatives or even accept a shared responsibility, with a shirt we would have been happy but nothing. Very nice park but to no acquaintance I will recommend it. We went on March 24, 2025, it has been a week and I still have the courage for that bad treatment.

Money-beating and disappointment - Very bad park, little to nothing to do. What a money-beater. And for almost all activities the main prize in addition to exhorbitant entrance fee. My kids thought it was a huge disappointment and wanted to go back to hotel quickly. Hundreds of dollars lighter. If only there had been a few fun water attractions!

Accessibility only in advertising. Our experience was painful, exhausting and very frustrating. - We had a previous accident with Xcaret Xailing, which left my brother injured and using a wheelchair. My brother has Down syndrome and his dream was to travel to Cancun and meet Xcaret. Unfortunately, this visit was very limiting and painful for him, as well as frustrating for me as an escort.
We decided to continue with the visit thinking that it would be an accessible place, as promoted. But it was quite the opposite: the park has roads with stones that are not loose, but that make it very difficult to move a wheelchair, even having a good chair. There are steep rises and falls and gradients that make moving forward a constant and risky effort. My brother ended up in more pain and enjoying nothing. I was totally exhausted.
Besides, I was promised ramp transportation, but it never came. I had to pay for a one-way taxi on my own, and for the return, when I ordered adapted transportation again, I was told that it was not their responsibility because I had bought the package at a Xcaret agency inside the mall Las Américas. How can Xcaret not be held accountable for its own agencies?
All this made the visit even more frustrating. I do not recommend Xcaret for people with motor disabilities. Your accessibility message is advertising only. The reality was painful, insecure and disappointing.
If you would like more details, I am willing to share them directly. The access to Xcaret Xailing only has a yellow strip to delimit unevenness, however that is for someone with good vision and know ethical sign not for disabled and does not have railings as it should be a disabled access and I have video that I can share where the accident was from and even there is blood on the ground as a sign of how it looked with the fall of my brother that I can share it. My brother suffered multiple injuries without being able to enjoy his dream vacation because of all this and we will continue with the trip but super limited in everything even we have been on island women could go but only locked almost by all the pain of my brother.
I hope this review will help improve the experience for others

RACISM in its fullest glory. - The park employees are RACIST if you are Mexican, the park instructors who guide the nightly show when asking something are too dry and avoid being able to give you an instruction, I name an employee named Gabriela, who addressed me and my family very rudely when asking for tickets to the show. It was located at the West Gate side 6A On 17 June 2025. If you want to come to the park, enjoy the park and avoid talking to the staff. Tipping for almost anything is something that characterizes me but there are places where they earn a CRITICAL bad comment. Hopefully someone can encourage good treatment of anyone who visits this beautiful place without seeing races or ethnicities.

Disappointment with Xcaret – too expensive for what it offers - Tip before review: take shoes for water/land, do not buy the photos at the beginning, wait until the end of the day to decide if it is justified.
The organization of the trip was very good and, upon arrival to the park, we were suggested to buy our own shoes for water and land. I agree with this recommendation as the floor is not suitable for walking barefoot. However, it would be important that this suggestion be made in advance, either on the park website or by the travel agent. We had to buy three pairs on site for $40 each.
Right at the entrance, we were pressured to buy the photo pack for 90 dollars (for 3 people), with the promise of unlimited photos. However, the photographs had nothing special and we could easily have recorded the moments with our own cell phone or camera. The way the pack was sold to us, as if it were a unique opportunity, was quite misleading — especially because we didn’t even get 20 photos.
All activities shown in promotional videos are paid separately, with the exception of the underground river. We paid $190 per adult and $140 per child to visit a park that was presented to us as a water park and a zoo, but which in reality does not correspond to either of the two categories 100%. We saw some animals (pumps, horses, parrot, flamingos, turtles, etc.), but the actual access to dolphins, rays and sharks was paid apart.
Activities such as diving, speedboat, swimming with animals, etc... is all paid!
We feel mistaken about the amount charged — it’s a lot of money for what the park actually offers. The disappointment was so great that we chose not to stay for the evening show and returned to the hotel to enjoy the pool and the all inclusive regime, which seemed to us a much more compensatory option.
The ticket includes a meal (lunch or dinner), which is a positive point. Overall, the park is pleasant to walk, but nothing exceptional and definitely does not justify the practiced prices.

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT, VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS!!!! - I don't recommend it at all. A waste of money.
Xcaret has been one of the biggest disappointments of my trip. The price of admission is totally disproportionate to what it offers. In less than a day you have everything done, and the worst part is that most of the “interesting” activities are not included: you have to pay for them separately, and they are very expensive.
Everything inside the park comes at an excessive price, from meals to extra experiences. It shows that the main goal is to take money out of you at every turn. Also, there were a lot of people, which made the experience feel overwhelming and very unspecial.
I was also struck by the state of the animals. Many looked in pretty bad conditions, with little space and no stimulus. I thought it was unethical.
Honestly, there are far better plans to do in the Riviera Maya than spending time and money on Xcaret. I would not repeat or recommend it.

AUTHENTIC ABUSE,OUT OF ORDER PRICES!!! - I was in 2009 and it has changed a lot!
Starting with the xcaret plus ticket with food 659EUROS to the change, two adults, a child of 5 and one of 11.What crazy is that?We pay for it for the children to see it but you say...but they are crazy??but when you enter.........
For a margarita and a bag of 37EURO potatoes considering that we are in Mexico that the local currency are pesos .. but they put things at prices that even when making the change in euros is not expensive .. it is an abuse!
of crazy the prices from the activities, the little shops, the photos... everything!!
Like they said around here you do the dolphin activity and then if you want the 200 and a half dollar photos 10 photos in QR???and if you don???t want it and you want only 48 dollars..............because I saw it so abusive that I didn???t buy any.
In my case between the entratas 659e swimming with dolphins, and shopping there I left 1000e or something else....let's not forget that we talk about a park in Mexico that the local currency is in pesos, is that I think it is very relevant.
In short we are very disappointed and upset, obviously we will not return, never.
