awesome experience, highly recommend! - this was awesome - definitely recommend. Naomi was our tour guide and she was great - super engaging and kept it light and fun while also teaching us a lot about the caves, history, and surrounding culture. if you can add the lunch option, the food was delicious! they will pick you up from your resort and take you back, so if you can make it happen it’s definitely worth the price!

Don't miss this tour/adventure! It is very unique and unforgettable. - The deluxe "Wild" tour was absolutely amazing! The bike ride through the jungle and into the cave was spectacular. Then, the time in the river with snorkeling gear and helmets/headlamps - we will never forget it. Our guide and photographer were top notch.

Mind blowing experience - Real deal 60 foot caves. Miguel was a great guide. Extremely knowledgeable, safety conscious, and made the tour so much fun. Small groups. Mind blowing caves. Process of Accessing one’s photos afterwards should be improved. But don’t miss this.

Awe inspiring, breathtaking, highly recommend, fantastic excursion - I am so glad that I chose this tour. My sister and I left the guys at the resort and had an excursion day together. It was amazing. I reccomend saying yes to the wet suit and the walking stick options, the water is quite chilly and the ground and rocks and path are very uneven. Walking stick came in very helpful to use so you are not touching the formations and rocks and trees. The tour guides are very informative and make sure everyone is comfortable and outfitted with the proper safety equipment needed. Inside the caves is simply amazing and awesome, seeing all the formations is so cool, being able to walk/swim through the caves and see everything so preserved in its natural state is fantastic. The buffet lunch at the end of the tour was really good as well. We really enjoyed this tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic Guided Ecological Tour - We booked through Sunwing with pick-up at the resort and opted for a mid morning versus early pickup which was perfect for our family. You are assigned your guide shortly after arriving at the location and we were very lucky to have Pepe who was able to give us some great information about the caves and the region. It was very obvious that he cared about his job and protecting the caves. We wore swimsuits, shorts and sandals but at the location, you will get a neoprene suit and water shoes (the type with the rubber bottoms). Some people wore their own water shoes. You will not be allowed to take photos or video in the caves, everything you have will go into a locker. In the caves you will walk through water and also swim, the water wasn't as cold as I expected. We loved the adventure of moving through the cave and especially the moment of being in the water in complete darkness. Really fun experience followed by a quick meal and back to the resort. We're glad we went and so glad Pepe was our guide, he's the best. We truly hope the trains that will be going back and forth close to the cave system won't destroy this cool ecological experience.

Welcome to the jungle. Be wary of the bats and bikes. - Our guide, Memo, was awesome. The tour itself was intense and awesome - the sights were incredible and Memo is a diver, so he had additional insights in the underground river. This place is like nowhere else I or my family had ever been, and we've been to a lot of places around the world (Hawaii, Colorado, Iceland). For that alone, it's worth going. Food - breakfast and lunch - were excellent as was the service. The people genuinely seemed to like working there and they took good care of us. Some feedback: The bikes are lousy. We had bad shifting and chains on the bikes. We peddled through some challenging terrain in the jungle and in caves, going up and downhill, over rocks and roots, and several other kinds of areas. You need a good bike and bike maintenance was really poor. That said, our guide traded me out his bike (which was slightly better) and took my bike, which was terrible. Also, if you have friends or relatives with you who are skittish, be sure they know: bats, scorpions, spiders, and the notion of jaguars, pumas, and cougars could get them a little riled up. Forewarn them so they can opt out of this one if they'd like. Same with fitness: if you're along with people who aren't fit or accustomed to riding bikes on tough terrain, they might want to pass. That said, they'd be missing out on an incredible sensory experience. Also, be aware: it's 90 minutes to the site from the southern point of the Hotel Zone. Be patient with the ride and it'll pay off in what you see and experience.

Unorganised by the tour - We were part of the cruise excursion on Msc . We were taken from the port by ferry to playa del Carmen. Then short drive to the rio secreto. Marcio our cave Guide was knowledgeable and always ensuring everyone was safe . Really enjoyed this. But on the way back I was very disappointed hence the 1 star. It was 4pm and we had 1 hour and half to get back on the cruise ship. Our guide on this Oscar said we had no time to look at any souvenir shops!! I understand if this was so! However were line up waiting for the ferry for another 20 minutes! Then sat in the ferry for another 35 minutes!! This is unacceptable and unorganised!! They should have known when the ferry was due to go. They seem to have rushed us to hand over to the cave and rush us back again!!! I was very very disappointed that I had no souvenir to bring home to my kids. Seriously need to look at this schedule guys!! We were back in time for the ship but just wasted 1 hour nearly sitting around waiting!! MSC NEED TO LOOK AT THIS TIMINGS WITH THE COMPANY DOINB YHE EXCURSION I WATCH THE OTHER PASSENGERS COME BACK ON THE FERRY WITH SOUVENIR BAGS M ADE ME EVEN MORR UPSET!
