Could not imagine a better experience learning to dive - I would send all future travelers, divers or not, to Ko'ox ("Lets Go" in English) in Tulum. Particularly in the direction of Victor Rosado, our extremely likeable instructor. His professionalism, passion, patience and knowledge amounted to some of the highest caliber of instruction I have received in any area; not just diving. Learning to dive can be daunting, but these characteristics made for a reassuring and totally fun atmosphere. My wife and I are new divers. Our instruction consisted of sessions with Victor, for the most part just the three of us, in Casa Cenote and on the reef in the Ocean adjacent. We count ourselves lucky that we were able to remain with the same instructor throughout, and also lucky that weather permitted us to dive in the Ocean. After qualifying, we went back to Ko'ox the following weekend to dive the cenote and the reef again because we couldn't imagine a better way to spend a morning. Learning in the Cenote has to be the best way to learn to dive, hands down.

100% Recommend - I highly recommend this company. They take care to keep the experiences in small groups and recommend them based on your level. It’s been 9 years since I did my open water, so we took it easy on our first dive. Victor was thorough in all safety elements and so calm and supportive when I was freaking out underwater! Thankfully, because it was just us and the instructor, there was no pressure waiting for me to adjust myself to being underwater again. The ocean dive was incredible and I felt safe and supported the whole time. We ended the day with a cold cola and sand which provided by Victor! So welcome! This isn’t the cheapest dive shop and the quality that you pay for is worth every penny!

Koox is the best diving company in Tulum! Charlie is a godsend of an instructor! - As a first time diver I was SO thankful to have had Charlie as our instructor. Charlie was kind, patient, and incredibly thorough with the instructions. I felt safe at all times with Charlie guiding me through each step of the process. I also appreciated Koox Diving's commitment to small groups. My partner and I were the only two people on our group and had amazing 1:1 instruction with Charlie. I would 1000% percent recommend Koox Diving to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime adventure.

Koox is SO worth every penny and second! - We finally decided to get our Open Water certification and we are so extremely happy we went with Koox. Our instructor and guide, Julio, was so kind and he honestly made our experience that much better. He made the entire process extremely stress-free and memorable. We loved him and had so much fun with him that we decided to add two more dives in the cenotes while we were here. We don't tend to go back to a location we've already visited but we definitely will be back, just to dive with Julio and Koox again!

Thanks for the nice course and good time! - I took the open water course with Victor. The 3 days were exactly what I had hoped for. The training was very good and makes sure you are ready to dive in Dos Ojos. Dos Ojos is really a cherry on the cake to book after the open water course. The tunnels and underwater visibility are endless. A recommendation for everyone who is 5 days in Tulum!
