Unique and spectacular place - Each of the three cenotes had there own unique, fairy tale charm. A spectacularly beautiful place.

Best kept secret - Such a great place to visit. Cool natural pools to swim in. If you go early (10am) there’s hardly anyone there unlike the other main Cenote which is over crowded. Not very expensive approx £20pp. Best way to get there is via taxi and it waits for you. You only need 2-3hrs. Take your own food and water as there’s nothing there. As we went early we were able to be back by lunch.

Good place for snorkeling without the crowds - One of us snorkeled and one dove. We went with a diving company which was a good deal. Snorkeling was good. Quiet. Not a lot of people. Diving also a good experience. Recommend at least 3mm wet suits for diving as water is chilly. Snorkeling was about 77 degrees or 23 c. Two Cenotes to snorkel.

Highly recommend seeing this cenote - We are so glad that we went to this cenote! Alone with the two turtles early morning, in the jungle with birds for company.

Chill morning with cenotes and zip lining - My daughters (8 & 11) and I just finished a FABULOUS morning at Chikin Ha. I booked directly via WhatsApp (650 pesos / person) for a tour, which included our incredible guide Jesus, a Mayan ceremony, three zip lines, and two cenotes. I booked based on TripAdvisor reviews and my desire to find a chiller, more authentic cenote (i.e., avoid XCaret). This is the best deal in town - we were welcomed by three of the five resident dogs and friendly staff. We enjoyed Jesus’s laid back vibe and thoughtful explanations of Mayan culture and traditions. A few tips: - Book directly - Bring your own snorkeling gear - Bring food / water as there’s none available - Be prepared for the upselling of photos (honestly, this is to be expected anywhere in the Maya Riviera and they were much less aggressive than any other locale, but I was not expected to be offered photos at $15USD a pop!) - If you have a car this is SUPER easy (we didn’t and booked a taxi, but it’s also accessible via bus and a ~1 mile stroll)

A beautiful place to visit - We were lucky enough to be able to walk from our hotel Barceló Maya Palace to the Chikin ha Cenote with our family of 12 people We love the nature the beautiful colours love it , we had a tour guy taking photos he was nice and polite, the only bad experience we had was at the end of our beautiful time there they tried selling us the pictures packages which I understand is their business, but what we didn’t l like was the guy in charge got upset cause we decided no to buy any of the expensive pictures and start making disrespectful comments saying we probably could not afford to pay for the pictures, that’s unacceptable and disrespectful so please train these people better We just pay over $300 for 12 people to get in and buying the pictures should be an option and not an obligation

A quiet spot - My partner and I decided to visit Chikin Ha because we heard there were a lot fewer people there than some of the other nearby cenotes. There were also three different kinds of cenotes right next to each other, so were were able to see a lot in a short amount of time. We saw a couple of divers preparing for their dive; apparently this is a great place for diving! There were some beautiful motmot birds with long blue tails near several of the cenotes that we didn't see anywhere else in the area. The third cenote is a collapsed cenote, so you can't swim in it; however, you can explore the area, and we could see where they hold Mayan ceremonies. This place wasn't as dramatic as some of the other places we visited, but it was definitely less touristy and beautiful in its own right.

Terrible customer service DO NOT GO! - Just walked from our hotel Barcelo Maya Palace to this Cenote. Christalina Cenote had been recommended to us but when we got there it was closed because it closes on a Monday, so we tried this one next door. The employee at the entrance off the road told us it was $23 US but we could pay by Apple Pay. He told us it was a 15 minute walk into the jungle - it was a lot longer on a dirt track in the baking heat! When we got to reception, we were told they did not accept cards or Apple Pay and we did not have quite enough cash as we had budgeted for $12 pp for Christalina. My husband scraped enough cash for me and our 2 children (14 and 9) to go in and said he’d just take photos. We were roasting and exhausted by then so took our showers in preparation and began to walk to the first Cenote. We were told then that my husband had to wait at reception and was not allowed to accompany us to take photos! The staff were rude, unsympathetic and could not explain why this was not permissible, given our circumstances. We asked for a refund and left! Please do not go here! Every other Cenote, Mayan site and activity we have done on the Mayan Riviera has been great, with very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff - this one was not!!

Not good - Downtown is full of people that want to rip you off. Plus, the place itself is not beautiful anyway.
