Chichen Itza - I truly enjoyed this full day tour. Great information - Great transportation. The cenotes were very welcomed after an extremely hot day. There were umbrella's to rent and of course I dressed for the day.

BEST experience of our life!!! - Gonzalo and Johnny were excellent. We felt so safe. They were so detailed about the history, areas, and people. They made us laugh and the entire day was packed with fun.

SEPT TRIP 2022 - I originally booked it the chichen itza + el balam tour but I was notified by the company the day before that the tour was cancelled due to not enough people and I was offered to switch to the chichen itza premier tour. 1. We were picked up at 7:20am from the hotel but the tour didn't start until like 12noon because there was an issue with the bus and we had to switch buses. I understand about this un-expected issue but I do believe that it could've been arrange better. For the premier package that we purchased we had vip seating close to the front of the bus but after we switch buses we ended up seating all the way in the back and this is were the nightmare starts (the people around us talked all day so we couldn't sleep and my husband ended up getting very bad motion sickness). 2. As for my understanding this tour includes 3 drinks at the buffet but no waiters bother to give us any drinks and we had to ask 3 times to get our drinks but in the end they want tips!! 3. We only got to stay in Valladolid for 30mins which was not even enough time to try the marquesitas while there were too many people lining up waiting. Afterall, we didn't get to return to the hotel until 10ish in the night and we were starving. The only reason I booked with this tour company it was because of all the good comments but I'm very disappointed with them.

Like cattle being taken to market - This trip was not what we had expected. We expected a trip with max 40 people with an independent company, but in fact the company seems to just provide the transport to a central hub in playa del carmen where 100s of tourists meet to go on this excursion. It was very chaotic with no explanation. Essentially told to line up in queues to be given a wrist band and a sticker (for commission to your tour guide when you are hard sold items in shops). Very busy trip, with hundreds of tourists. The wrist band indicated whether you had drinks or a tablecloth provided at lunch - classic vs premium package. The whole trip was geared towards the tour guides making money - it didn’t feel like they had any genuine interest in us or chichen itza. We spent over half of the trip with vendors and being taken to very expensive shops where we were strongly encouraged to buy items. I would not recommend.
