• The Mexican authorities responsible for protecting cultural sites respectfully request that visitors to Chichén Itzá Archaeological Zone consider refraining from consuming alcohol or taking drugs that could alter their behaviour.To assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of all, two checkpoints will be in place: one at the hotel pick-up and another before entering the site. In the event that a visitor is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they will be politely asked to choose another day to visit Chichén Itzá, as long as they meet the conditions for visiting.
