Amazing Experience ! - ...... Last Saturday my husband and I gave a try to Scuba Diving in a Cenote near Tulum. The team at Be Dive were super accommodating and patient with us whilst we practice the basics before diving. JP and Luciano were absolutely brilliant making sure I was comfortable and took me into one of the most naturally beautiful places I have ever been (under water!). I most admit I was a bit nervous but their reassurance was key to make the most of the experience. In the meantime, Eric gave a snorkelling tour of the Cenote with my husband who was not as comfortable as me underwater, ensuring he was also able to make the most of the experience. I would add that even though I never tried Scuba Diving before, it is something that is an absolute must in a place like Mexico with the beautiful cenotes, and a perfectly safe and unique environment for your first time (a shame we didn’t get to meet Panchito this time). Hopefully next time! One for the bucket list ticked off...

Beautiful first-time SCUBA DIVING with the most fun and safe instructors! - I was lukewarm about trying scuba as I'm not so adventurous as I used to be. But I had some downtime during my DETOX days and decided why not. Let me tell you this team is incredibly professional! Perfect English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, whatever the heck language you speak...somebody here probably speaks it. Everything was super safe and I easily overcame my silly "what-if" fears about breathing underwater. The instructors are within arms reach of you the entire time if not touching you. They constantly check if your breathing is ok, air pressure is ok, and point out where and what to do. They made all the technical parts of scuba seem so easy....understanding the gear, how to clear water out of your goggles/respirator, understanding hand signals underwater. I had so much fun and the pictures are wow, so crazy nice. Looks like another planet. Swimming and being one with the fish and underwater eco-system. I think I'm hooked on scuba diving for life and can't wait to try other destinations. If you're on the fence about scuba, you should do it. Actually, I think everyone should do it. Whether you're doing only a first-time fun dive or getting your scuba certification, I highly recommend this diving school.

Diving change my Life. I recommend Be Diving - I will never look at the ocean the same again. Scuba diving has to be the most relaxing extreme activity. I had zero interest in ever going diving or even snorkeling. Most who know me, know that I am not a big nature person. I'm much more into people made creations. #computers #capitalmarkets. #architecture . Covid forced me to explore. Nora and Leo strongly encouraged, it was really peer pressure, to dive. And I'm better for it. Strangely, after a 1 hour pool class, I felt confident to dive. Fully realizing the dangers, I felt prepared and in good hands. We waited a week to dive so visibly and conditions would be perfect, which only happens because I live here. I also learned Playa del Carmen is one of the best places in the world to dive. I head out to go diving without much thought. I'm so not nervous. A little bit excited. More focused and strangely confidence. And I have every reason not be. And that all changed in an instance. I fall back over the edge of the boat, holding my mask, I do a backflip underwater. That was not how Carlos, my Argentinian instructor, did it. Okay. Yep confidence is shaken. "Remember your training: relax & breathe." I was good until I was about 2 or 3 meters down. Right when my ears got pressured and I doubted if I could swim to the top on my own, I panicked. My body panicked. I couldn't control this tidal wave of thoughts and emotions. Like lassoing a baby calve, I had to corral this panic that was setting-in. Relax. Breathe. Pinch your nose. I start descending. I'm focusing on going down. Focused on my breath rather than looking up for an escape towards comfort/ safety. I don't like this ear popping pressure. And soon enough I regulate, and the painful pressure is gone. And its just me and Carlos at the bottom of the ocean. Plain sand turns quickly turns into beautiful colors of a different world. Anyone who has seen Avatar understands what it must be to seen esonescendent or bioluminescence version in the day, of a whole new world. A world you don't belong in. A sea turtle crosses, across Carlos and I. We slowly turn right to follow. Without a care, she flicks one of her back feets and zooms away faster than we could dream of swimming. A turtle. A freaking turtle on the bottom of the ocean humbles me. I am not that great. Reef. Fish. Coral. These cactus like plants and this fauna with blue silhouettes and fish of the most interesting colors. What else do you want? How about a freaking statue? A massive seashell on its tip, standing up was a statue that was made that now is a coral reef in the middle of a sandy area. I do a circle around the 8ft statue. The salt in the ocean, creates clouds. Even with perfect 20 meters (65 feet) of visibility, there are these clouds that form. You are going slow but everything is unfolding infront of you without a hint of the future. Which means you only see the underwater statue when you're ontop of it. A big ass sting ray. Breathe. Fish of all varieties and colors. Breathe. You're 20% focused on each breath. And 70% on what you're seeing. 10% what you're experiencing. I follow Carlos. Eventually we emerge. I see my friend Leo on the boat. He knows what I'm thinking. Selfie time! That was just my first dive of the day. The second was equally as good.
