THE CASTLE :
‘A fortress reborn. Originally built in the tail end of the 14th century under the guidance of Duke Louis of Orléans, the castle was dismantled in the 17th century and lay in ruins until Napoleon III commissioned the architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc to restore it. He infused his architectural principles into crafting the perfect castle, just as one would have appeared in medieval times.’
