Cruise to Furneaux Lodge through Queen Charlotte Sound/Tōtaranui in the morning, arriving in time for lunch at the Furneaux Restaurant.
Choose your delicious lunch from the set menu, and relax on the sweeping lawn overlooking Endeavour Inlet, or inside the cosy restaurant in Furneaux’s historic homestead.
Explore the grounds, do a short walk or simply drink in the views until it’s time to meet us at the jetty for the scenic cruise home - approx 3pm.
- The captain will be the guide and speaks in the English language
- Lunch is ordered from a lunch menu (this may at times differ depending on time of year, a BBQ buffet may be offered)
- The travel time accounts for the remaining hours of the duration.

Worth the experience - Overall I’ve given it a 4/5 as stunning views of sound and lunch at Lodge beautiful; awesome choice; awesome locale; service etc. the desire is they drop you off at around 11.15 and collect at 3:15pm which is a LONG time if weather not good for swimming or your not wanting to go for a walk from Lodge. I would not go in this tour again because of that fact only.

I felt I got scammed - There is nothing memorable about this trip. The Viator's schedule for return time from the tour supposed to be at 3:00 pm but the local operator said it was 5:00pm. Since I was on a cruise and the ship's departure time is at 5:00pm, we were not able to go with the tour. The local tour operator told us to get a refund from Viator but Viator said no refund, period.
