The Path of the Gods: emotion and beauty - Fantastic experience last week at the Path of the Gods! Thanks to Marco's excellent guide, we were able to safely complete the entire circular route and enjoy the wonderful panorama, overlooking Positano up to Capri and its stacks. The stop with Antonio, the shepherd, allowed us to savor the simplicity and joy of life in contact with nature, without mentioning the goodness of the genuine products that he made us taste. Absolutely worth repeating.

A Day On the path of the gods - Our day trip was exceptional due to Enzo’s attentiveness and attitude. We drove up from Positano, and he gave us a place to park for free at the beginning of the tour. I mentioned a goat farm and we were able to stop at the goat farm along the way. Honestly, that was the highlight. They gave us fresh goat cheese, bruschetta and wine. It had the most gorgeous view and had the cutest little pup running around. We finished the tour along the cliffs and at the end we had some cold lemon slush. Enzo was knowledgeable and knew all the places along the way. Little things we would have never known about if we did the tour on our own. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend!!

Will Hike for Pasta - Italy is known for its food. I indulged in pasta every day during my weeklong vacation on the Amalfi Coast. So...what better way to earn my tagliatelli than to hike the Path of the Gods? And what an amazing hike it is! As the name suggests, this is the most majestic trail on the Amalfi Coast. Our guide, Enrico, is highly educated in all things great outdoors. Not only is he a wealth of knowledge, but he is also an all around nice guy with the gift of communication. There were plenty of hikers on the path that were solo, but I felt like I had an ace up my sleeve with a private guide. Thank you Cartotrekking and Enrico for guiding us on this amazing journey!

My husband and I, well equipped - I had wanted to have this experience with my husband for several years. Is fantastic. Breathtaking landscapes. We come from the northern mountains. We know the CAI paths well. We know well how friendly the mountain is and in a short time it turns against you. It's not really a path, some parts have steps of up to 40 cm so poles are very useful. It is not true that it is exposed and anyone who suffers from vertigo should not do it. I am proof of this. In the most exposed parts you hold against the mountain and nothing happens. We would have returned on foot to Fraz. Bomerano di Agerola, where the path starts, but the descent hurt our knees injured in the past. So at the end of the path we got an excellent lemon juice from the kiosk (pure, without sugar, truly a cure-all) thanks to the owner of the kiosk, an excellent drink. We got off at the port of Positano and took the boat to Amalfi. We got off there and took the bus back to Agerola, where we were staying. Next year, we will do the opposite, we will go up from Positano to Agerola. We are used to going up, then down. Here you sell out first and then you should go up. We had the strength, our knees were in pieces and they were for about two days. A word of advice: those who know the mountains don't need a guide. The path starts from the Bomerano hamlet of Agerola to arrive above Positano. I recommend leaving the car in Agerola, for the return trip either take the ferry to Amalfi and then the bus to Agerola (by sea) or the bus to Amalfi, get off and take the bus to Agerola. Remember the bus tickets, they sell them in Positano. In Amalfi you can go to Mondadori (the bookshop) with your back to the buses and it is on your right, on the coastal road. If you know the mountain, you don't need a guide. What is needed instead is equipment: boots with treads, poles, backpack, water bottle, something sweet that gives energy, hat. And respect the recommended periods. No June, no July, no August are clearly the coldest months. Good trail.

Much efficient than ordinary Amalfi tour regarding fantastic scenery - The tout started from Bomerano bus stop to Positano with Marco, my private tour guide for the hike. He was very knowledgeable with the course, history, plants and animals, food and had walked the trail with checking out its safety sometimes even if navigate. The tour (Path of the God) goes almost 6 miles (10 kilometers) hike and necessary at least trekking shoes. Usually it takes almost one day for the ordinary Amalfi tour (going to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello) and can see beautiful scenery, but it is possible to see lots of fantastic scenery only 2.5-hour tours. If anyone can speak English and can hike this distance (10 kilometers) I strongly recommend this tour.

Enzo is the essential guide to the Path of the Gods! - We spent a sublime morning with Enzo, our guide. He made the experience all the better, as a native Positanian with knowledge of history, anthropology, sociology, geology and sundry other topics. It was good exercise - tough, but not exhausting, and ultimately edifying. He led us through the winding pathways and curated sights along the way, including a thousand-year-old Moorish house, an ancient lime kiln and an equally-aged rock-garden installation. (See photos.) Our only regrets: not posting this review sooner, and having to return to Texas from Positano!

Ms Ashy - Marco was very knowledgeable and made the hike very interesting and fun!! The hike took approximately 3 hours from Bomerano to Nocelle. We chose not to walk the stairs into Positano as advised by Marco….Great decision! The PofG hike wasn’t difficult, but did involve some climbing over rocks. I consider myself a somewhat fit 60 yr old.
