Awesome, amazing, brilliant. - I did 4 of the full on mountain bike rides. Great trails, great guides. Stairway to Heaven by far and away the best. When I'm back in Chiang Mai next I'll be riding with Trailhead.

My Best Day on a Bike to Date! - I returned to Chiang Mai for the sole purpose of doing more bike trips with Trailhead having previously done Buffalo Soldier and Thriller. This route was a challenge for me being a fairly inexperienced mountain biker but having completed it, I would say that it is entirely manageable if you have previously done a few trails. My guide Kom, is a consummate professional in so many disciplines and puts me to shame the way he flies up the hills on his bike while I virtually always have to walk! Kom manages to take video and photos of me while negotiating the trail and giving me verbal support. My second guide for this trail was Lek who provided excellent support for the first part of the day before driving ahead to the finish. Lek then joined us and led the way on the final flowy section showing me how it is done. I learned a lot just on that final section and gained a bit more confidence in my riding. The Trailhead team think of everything in preparing your day and you really only need to turn up with with a sense of humour. As well as providing a top-of-the-range full suspension mountain bike, you get the full safety gear, rucksack, gloves, as much water as you can drink, energy gel packs, snacks and a cold fresh coconut to drink at the end of the day. Don't forget a tasty lunch on the way back at a local village restaurant. If you are still not sure, do what I did and drop in to their coffee shop in town and have a chat with whoever is there, they are all really friendly and always go the extra mile to help you out. I have just booked my fourth trip with them!

Stairway to heaven - We were a bit scared because mountains here are not what they are in Belgium, so really challenging, but great! A tough ride, big climbs in the beginning and some more technical but great descents to end with. The company also offers other rides with more or less difficulties. Something for everyone :) great staff as well! Thanks again! Also for the nice videos and pictures 😊

A must for keen mountain bikers. - The Stairway to Heaven is an absolute must for keen mountain bikers who are visiting Chiang Mai. I chose this particular ride as it had a lot of uphill riding and downhill riding. The ride is very well organised and even starts by visiting the Trailhead shop and cafe in Chiang Mai Old Town and even a free coffee. I was then driven to where I would be riding which was approximately 45 minutes, which included an off road section to reach the temple. Upon arriving at the temple, we set up and Lek my guide was more than happy to help ensure the bike was set up correctly prior to setting off. Be warned with this particular ride, the uphill is steep and very unforgiving from the start. I ride in the English Lakes and the steepness was as severe as the harder climbs in the Lakes. However all that climbing is rewarded with what seemed like endless descents which were fast and flowy. This particular ride on the downhill seems to allow you to go as fast or slow as you please. It was all rideable without having to lift the wheels off the trail. There is a mix of single and doubletrack which varies the ride and makes it a lot of fun. On my particular ride I was given some food before, during and after the ride we went to a local restaurant. Lek was really friendly and his English was excellent, we also passed through a village halfway through the ride which was epic as Lek told me all about how the locals lived which was very interesting. Trailhead were excellent from start to finish and I hope to visit Chiang Mai again and ride again. Thank you.

The highlight of our Thailand trip - This was an absolutely wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. The tour is organised to perfection with awesome guides and staff taking you to beautiful trails. It was a proper workout to climb to the top in the Stairway to heaven trip, but it was well worth it. The bikes were in excellent condition, which is very rare for rentals - we've been renting mountain bikes for Enduro riding in Europe and never scored this new and well maintained ones. Our guide Chu was incredible - biking back and forth and cheering for us while we fought our breath. Chu made awesome videos of our trip to keep as memories. On the way we stopped at the Karen village to have a cold Coke, and after the flowy and damn enjoyable descent we had chilled refreshments waiting for us. On the 1,5h car ride back we stopped to have some good dinner on the way. It's an all inclusive super fun tour, and we WILL come back for more. Thank you so much team Trailhead!

Epic trip! - This was an incredible trip with Lek as my guide. The climbing is relentless early on so you really need some condition to be able to enjoy. I really enjoyed the ride through the forest and the experience of riding through a couple of villages, to see life off the beaten track. The last 8km is downhill and the enduro bikes really shine here and float over every rut and rock. Lek is excellent, he’s fun, he’s professional and he’s got some mad bike skills too! This trip made my holiday and I can’t wait to get back and try some more. 100% booking with Trailhead again, cool shop with great coffee. If baggies are your thing, get the jersey it’s great.

Awesome experience! - I went on the stairway to heaven tour with the guys at Trailhead. It was a tough work out but completely rewarding and fun. I'd never really done any mountain biking, but have done bike tours and consider myself in good shape. Some of the hills you climb are super steep and difficult but that makes the down hills even more satisfying. Great experience!
