Heartwarming tour - Amom is an amazing tour guide. Despite not having sufficient tours during the pandemic, she was extremely knowledgeable and knows her history well. She was very accommodating and followed me to the market as I wanted to make a purchase and even helped me with the communication. Amom is very passionate and her emotions come through when we visited the Killing Fields. She has family that was impacted. I would definitely recommend her and was fortunate enough to bump into her again as I was checking out to leave the country.

A must do tour I wont forget in a hurry! - A private tour is a must. Our tour guide was only 25 years old but his passion and the knowledge of Mr Lay was phenomenal. He didnt stop talking from start to finish. The Royal Palace was closed in the morning due to the Kings anniversary of his death so the tour was turned around so we could visit the Palace in the afternoon when it re-opened. It was a stunning place. The Killing Fields were heartbreaking, good insight into what happened but a little too much for me. I felt emotionally drained after the visit to the fields and prison. So upsetting but glad I have visited. A must do tour!

Great Tour but not enough time! - We enjoyed our tour of Phnom Penh very much. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Cambodia and was always eager to answer our questions. The driver and van were very nice as well. The visit to the Killing fields and S-21 went longer than expected and our guide arrived later than the original time, so we were unable to visit some of the other sites that were listed for this tour when I booked. We did see The Royal Palace but only drive by Wat Phnom snd never went to the Russian Market. I was disappointed by this but wonder if maybe trying to see so much in one day isn’t a good idea. I’d recommend doing two half day tours to avoid what happened to us.

History and facts - Lay was our guide and he was very professional and clear. He gave us a much better understanding of Cambodia, the Red Khmer period and the long period of difficult times. He could also give us insight in the aftermath of Pol Pot and the prosecution’s going on. The Cambodian monarchy also needs some explanations due to the political system. These questions gave us a better view of where the country stands today. Killing fields - we suppose you can do them on your own as there are good billboards to explain, but when you have a professional guide as Lay on your side it all comes live and so did prison 21, puh...
