A must for foodies looking for authentic local food - Sam was so lovely, he can usually be very flexible with the tour which makes things really nice and personalised. The places he took me to eat were true local places which I loved. Sam also taught me a lot about ancient and modern Cambodian history and even took me to the best place to buy Kampot pepper because I asked. He also took me to all sorts of old and new sites which was perfectly timed as some walking breaks between meals. But not to worry - you will spend a lot of time eating amazing food! I think you’d love Sam’s tour if you’re looking for an authentic local food experience. Come very hungry as you will try so many dishes!! Thank you Sam 😊

Fantastic food tour to truly local eating spots! Highly recommend! - This was such a fun experience, we highly recommend it as a great introduction to Phnom Penh and Cambodian cuisine! I actually swithered over doing this as I managed to get food poisoning just BEFORE our trip to and was worried this would be too much too soon for my recovering tummy. But the food was gentle and delicious. Everything was so fresh… and plentiful! So go on this tour hungry! Sam was an informative and fun tour guide and our driver was kind and attentive. This tour is such a great way to experience truly local eating spots that we would never have found or dared on our own. It’s also a great way to learn about Cambodian food. The beers flowed from the moment we got in the tuktuk making driving through the city extra fun. There was lots of walking too to burn a few calories between courses and see things at a more leisurely pace. Sam also took photos throughout the evening that he whatsapped to us along with a breakdown of everything we’d eaten. What a great start to our trip! Support independent operators like Sam. You won’t regret it! Teaching is a work of heart and Sam carries this into his tour. Thank you for the memories Sam!

A must do on your 1st night - Really enjoyed this evening food tour on my 1st night in Cambodia. Sam is a really good guide, he is happy to share historical stories and tips for your Cambodian trip. The tuktuk driver was very safe. The spots we went to were all differents with excellent food. I was so full!!! The beers on the tuktuk were also really appreciated. Thanks Sam, all the best. Aude

Good tour with fun tour guide - Sam arrived on-time and we go by tuk-tuk to explore the culinary world of Cambodian cuisine. It is a good introduction to the food so you can explore more for the rest of your trip. You can even get more of his advice afterwards. I did another food tour the previous day and, although we went to a few similar places, Sam is a fun guy to hang around and if you prefer sweets, this tour caters a bit more than the other one. We even go to an unexpected street vendor that sold some in-season Java plums (preung in Khmer) which is like a sour fruit (looks like a black olive) and tasted a bit better with chili salt. The food highlight for me was the BBQ pork ribs. Overall, Sam is a local and knows the city. The only thing that I wasn't into is the casino visit as I don't think that it represents well the locals and feels more like a touristy thing. Recommended!
