Excellent guide, excellent food, excellent experience - Alex was an outstanding guide. He has a strong knowledge of the city's history and architecture. He's a longtime resident and studied at Temple, so he knows the city very well. He took us to outstanding, unusual stops where we had Afghan dumplings (wow!), Georgian soup dumplings, fried chicken with pretzel breading, artisan donuts (everyone loved the lavendar strawberry), and of course a classic Philly Cheesesteak (but with provalone rather than Whiz, thankfully). Highly recommended.

Great way to spend a few hours in Philly!! - We had a great time sampling Philly’s cultural foods and learning a bit about Center City. Each establishment was picked because of its contribution to what popular foods define Philly. A bonus was a walk through Macys and seeing the Wanamaker organ and the Christmas light show! Fantastic. Culminating at the Reading Terminal Market was perfection.

Smart Guide, Impressive History and Delicious Foood - This tour exceeded expectations. My impressive guide Rick wove in stories from his deep knowledge of Philadelphia’s social, political, and architectural history while we ambled from place to place and ate amazing things! Rick had me at first bite, with a butter-coated pretzel, then followed up with a stellar cheesesteak and more. Great tour; definitely the better of two food tours I took in Phila. over Thanksgiving weekend.

Chuck is the best! - We had the luck of being the only two on the tour and our guide Chuck was fabulous - arrived with warm pretzels and a plethora of knowledge about both Philly and its food. A fabulous way to spend an afternoon - tip: go hungry, we needed a nap afterwards! Thanks Chuck, and Philly - you both rock.
