Best museum in Philly! - This was the best museum of our trip in Philly. Very well put together and it had a great way of drawing you into the various exhibits. We took the gallery highlights tour. Andy was excellent. He was very welcoming and extremely informative. He explained the history in a very fun and engaging way. I'd highly recommend that you take this tour. We'd have missed a lot if we didn't do this. Also pretty cool to see George Washington's real tent!

Museum Must - Excellent guide. Moved us through at a nice pace with wonderful information. We didn't feel like we were being bombarded with too many dates and facts and figures. Clean facility.

Terrific! - Was so nice to go in before the crowds- and it did get crowded. The museum is very well done. Of course seeing George Washington’s tent was thrilling! What a treat.

Bravo! Must See Museum - Spectacular! Relatively new museum. Treats American History as a worthy subject. Makes clear that progress was not complete with the Revolution, but doesn’t apologize about our Founders. Turns out Washington is still a hero, not someone to be rejected.

A must see - Really well planned and extensive museum! Washington’s tent is a must see while here. The museum gives a great overview of the war, it’s causes, timeline effects etc.

Great Visit - Having time in the museum before the crowds was great. Also our guide did a fantastic job of engaging the children. Do not miss the George Washington presentation.

Very disappointed - To be honest, I was under-whelmed. I'm lifelong resident of Southern New Jersey and a historian. I could find no (zero) reference to the battles of Red Bank, Fort Mercer and Fort Mifflin. These were very important battles that seem to have been missed by this "museum." There was also no reference to the battle of Turtle Gut Inlet which was the largest sea battle during the Revolution. The museum paints John Paul Jones as a pirate and downplays the role played by George Washington; after all he was nothing but a wealthy slave owner. I understand the focus on diversity, but seriously, this museum completely misses the mark. Nice building though and very nice bathroom. I like the lockers.
