Juluchuca - At Juluchuca beach, an explanation of the sea turtles’ life cycle will be provided, highlighting the characteristics of the three different species that nest in this region of Mexico. The discussion will also cover the various predators that threaten them both on land and in the ocean.
Following a 20-minute presentation, a nest discovered the previous day will be selected. A small amount of sand will be gently removed to reveal one of the eggs, after which the nest will be carefully covered again.
Next, a nest that is currently hatching will be chosen, allowing observers to witness the turtles emerging. All the turtles will be placed in a small container.
The turtles will stay in the container for approximately 10 to 20 minutes until they become active and ready to move. They will then be taken to the wet sand about 25 feet from the ocean. Once placed on the wet sand, they will instinctively make their way to the ocean, and the group will watch until all have safely reached the water.

To simplify understanding, we will be utilizing a diagram to depict the distinctions between the four unique types of turtles that come to Mexico.
This service includes round-trip transportation from the foyer of your hotel in Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo to the turtle farm, an informative tour guide, and a chance to witness the baby sea turtles’ exciting journey towards the ocean amid the giant waves.
