This food and wine tour lasts approximately three and a half hours and includes 5 authentic tastings, the food being plentiful enough to replace a meal, across various locations in the old town of Pescara. It commences with a tour of the local market, where you can explore seasonal produce and uncover hidden ingredients. Two tastings will occur in the family-owned shops within the market itself.
The tour proceeds in the birthplace village of Gabriele D’Annunzio, with two more tastings conducted within its alleyways, which are home to a multitude of restaurants, bistros, and wine bars. Finally, the tour concludes at a time-honored Pescara pastry shop with a tasting of a local Pescara delicacy adored by Gabriele D’Annunzio – the Parrozzo cake.

Amazing walking food tour of Pescara - What a great experience! We were initially skeptical because when we arrived, we were met by two Italian guys just asking if we were there for a tour. No sign or anything. We stayed with our guide Luca and he showed us tons of places! We started at a local market and sampled everything from local breads, to cheeses, to fresh vegetables. Luca told us all about the culture and the food as we wandered. We stopped for coffee and local pastries on our walk around Pescara. We had appetizers and wine before heading to a local restaurant for some fresh pasta. Overall this may be one of the highlights of our trip and wouldn’t hesitate to do this again or recommend it to anyone.

Satisfied - Intrigued after trying another tour in the center of Pescara with positive reviews, I was very satisfied with the tour of the Porta Nuova market. I appreciated the tastings, especially the excellent porchetta sandwich. The very friendly and knowledgeable guide is very passionate about his territory

Fun, Yum, Yum! - My friend and I really enjoyed the Pescara food and wine walking tour! The sights were amazing and the food was delicious! Our tour guide Elena was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun! If you are not sure, I highly recommend you take the tour!

Recommended - Positive experience with my family, the local market was interesting with its tastings, especially the porchetta sandwich. The cacio e ove pallotte are excellent and my children go crazy for desserts. the guide is passionate and prepared in describing the area. Recommended

Local authentic food - We visited a local market and were given a very warm welcome. The production of the products was explained and there was a tasting that included much more than the 5 described. The owner and tour guide was extremely friendly and served typical regional dishes to eat with his wines during the tasting. Everything was prepared with a lot of love and care. All in all a very nice morning and worth the price!

Pigging out in Pescara! - Our guide was the owner. Born and raised in Pescara. We had a great time eating and wine tasting in Pescara. Come to the tour hungry as you will leave stuffed and satisfied!

The tour was cancelled... - The tour was cancelled due to rain. The operator was kind enough to reach out to either reschedule during the coming week or to cancel and receive a refund. I am still waiting for the refund. :)

Unprofessional- tour canceled without notification - The tour was canceled 30 minutes before it was supposed to start. They did not reach out via email or call, just canceled the tour. Do not waste your time or money planning this tour.

Waste of time; fully refunded tho! - Tour guide spoke very poor English. Restaurant failed to fulfill reservation...so no lunch and wine as described. Market was very small and could have been better explained. Wasted three hours of our vacation however Trip Advisor fully refunded our experience. Thank goodness.
