Highlights

After a morning pickup at your Cusco hotel, you will depart for the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas. Your first stop is the Moray archaeological site, a series of circular terraces built into natural depressions and thought to have been used for agricultural research by the Incas.

Continue on foot to the Salineras, a cluster of salt pans built into the steep mountian-side. Salt has been collected here since before the arrival of the Incas to the area, and you will likely see locals harvesting their pans in the traditional manner.

Break for a picnic lunch, then continue to village of Pachar, located on the less developed side of the Urubamba River. From there, depart on an gentle and beautiful hike toward Perollniyoc Waterfall. You will pass agricultural fields, locals leading sheep and cows to pasture and small traditional homes along the way, arriving at the falls in about 2 hours. Pause for a snack and rest near the base of the falls, then climb to interesting Inca ruins directly above.

Late afternoon/early evening return to your Cusco hotel.

Muy increible, Totalmente recomendable. - Remembering to live again, there were excellent views throughout the journey. Inca Trail Machupicchu and waqrapukara were my favorite. It was a wonderful experience. Our Greek Guide helped us a lot in every detail.

Peru July 2022 - My tour guide Oliver was FANTASTIC. He was so knowledgeable, kind and patient. He answered my endless curious questions. When I had altitude sickness he knew exactly what to do to help me. If I needed anything he made himself available to help. Thanks Oliver!

Beyond what I could imagine - I was pleasantly surprised at how well put together and an amazing this tour was! Our tour guide Oliver was with us several days and he literally became like family to us. His knowledge and care for Peru and the sites was astounding. He gave us great tips and insight as to where to eat, visit, and more. Me and my friends had an issue at the airport and our tour guide Oliver came in the late night to help take care of it. I really can’t imagine visiting Cusco and Peru without this company and especially without Oliver. I highly recommend!

Great Guide and Terrific Experience - This tour has been one of our best yet because Simon our guide was so knowledgeable and willing to tell us about different sites and cultural traditions as we passed through the country side and villages. We chose the tour as part of preparation for our Salkantay Trek to see how we'd go hiking at altitude, the ruins are at 3645 meters, I think this was a good plan. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent personalized tour - For our tour we had a driver and a guide (Darwin). They picked us up on time at the hotel, drove us to the Sacred Valley with stops for pictures and information along the route. Guide was very informative and we stopped at the locations we had selected. There was a road closure that day and because of that they took us to another ruins that was solitary and a nice respite from the crowds. We also took a nice hike that was one of our favorites of our trip to Peru. Sampled some fruits right off the trees on the trail. Their tours include lunch and all entrance fees, so keep this in mind when comparing prices.

This was an amazing day! Far... -
This was an amazing day! Far exceeded our expectations!
Although booked as a small-group tour myself and my sister were the only ones booked so it became a private tour.
Our guide, Domingo, from Ayni-Peru Expeditions, arrived right on time. Our transportation was a cab driven by Jorge. The cab was clean and comfortable and Jorge was an excellent and courteous driver who also acted as a second guide along the way.

We visited Inca ruins of Moray Terraced Crop Laboratories, Salineras de Maras salt ponds and the Village of Maras. We had lunch with a local family high in the mountains in the small village of Socma then hiked to the beautiful waterfall of Perollniyoc. We made several other stops along the way where Domingo pointed out other ruins, local points of interest, and provided a ton of information about the people and culture of Peru. It was a wonderful day and I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Peru.

We had a private tour of the Sacred... -
We had a private tour of the Sacred Valley with Ayni Peru Expedition SAC. Our guide Simon and his driver were professional, helpful and knowledgeable! The tour activities as listed on the Viator website are accurate. One thing to note is to bring cash for the entrance fees to the parks. Luckily, we had the cash but it would have been nice to have been told in advance. The description says to wear comfortable walking shoes but, hiking shoes/boots are a better option. Simon was very knowledgeable and gave us much insight to the Sacred Valley and surrounding areas. It is obvious that Simon loves Peru and his job! I would definitely book this tour again!
