Absolutely beautiful! - The hike was beautiful! The drive was pretty long, but it was very pretty. Definitely worth going to! We didnt really get much of a tour, however, that was totally ok. It was mostly a ride to an amazing place. And out guide did his best to communicate with us in english.

High quality Huaraz trekking - My friend and I took 3 day trips with Scheler's agency (Laguna Parón, Glacier Pastoruri and Laguna 69) during our stay in Huaraz. They were very thoughful and timely on all our excursions and had by far the best customer service we came across in our time in Peru. I'd highly recommend them.

Efficient and punctual. Great value for money - The pickup was spot on, and the bus was comfortable. The hike is self guided so you are basically paying for the transportation. Hence I recommend taking this tour over the more expensive private tours. As for Laguna 69, it's an absolute must-do! Stunning views leading up to an even more stunning lake. It's a 14 km trek back to base. Make sure to acclimatize a day before as you are going up to 4600 masl

Rainy but worth it - Loved the trip! Be prepared for obscured views due to clouds and rainy conditions (also due to clouds).

Best day hike - Best day hike from Huaraz, stunning scenery and amazingly blue lake at the end of the hike. Staff are nice and bus is comfortable compared to other agencies

Amazing views just be well adjusted to the altitude - First trek on our trip to Peru….it was worth the 3hr (mainly uphill) hike there and back (would recommend this Laguna to that of lac humantay) but do be well adjusted to the altitude as after an initial flat walk along the river it then becomes an upward climb…the view at the top is something special. As well you start off with a guide but don’t expect them to accompany you on the hike, you just follow the path (and people).

Worth it. - Give yourself enough time to acclimatize. Better than the major tourist draws in Peru. I went to the ER with altitude sickness after this and would still do it again, over MP any day.

Do NOT book this tour on Viator. - You would do better to book this tour directly with “Esperanza tours” which is the tour agency that actually takes you to the mountain. The agency here on viator is not directly involved and overcharges with hard currency. Despite the description that promises a “round trip” the journey ends in the city center where they ask all the passengers on board to get off and go home on their own. Added to this, they were late for the early morning pickup which is annoying as they give you a timeframe of 5h-5.20am where you “have to be ready” however they arrived 15 min later.

Amazing hike, mediocre tour - This was probably the most beautiful hike that I’ve ever done. That said, here are a couple things to know. First, the hike is completely self-guided. For that reason, it’s worth looking around once you’re in Huaraz for a cheap offering rather than booking ahead of time. Second, the tour group was massive. There were probably 50-60 people hiking between 2 tour groups. This tour provider was nothing special, but I highly recommend Laguna 69 overall.
