-
Lancelin - After a 1.5-hour drive from Perth, pause to enjoy the views from Lancelin lookout, which boasts the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia. These massive, snow-white dunes contrast beautifully with the sparkling turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance.
-
Nilgen Lookout - Dust off the sand from your shoes as we continue to the Nilgen Nature Reserve. This area, rich in flora and fauna, offers a vibrant display of wildflowers, including banksias, bottlebrush, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws, all flourishing in season.
-
Hangover Bay - If the flowers are not in bloom, we’ll head to Hangover Bay, where you can wade in the clear waters or spot bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.
-
Nambung National Park - With fresh sea air in our lungs, we proceed to Nambung National Park to witness the extraordinary Pinnacles desert at sunset. Composed of shells, the Pinnacles date back millions of years to when the land was submerged. Best viewed at dusk, when the crowds thin and the thousands of limestone pillars emerge eerily from the desert; watch the colors shift over the rocks, creating a lunar-like ambiance.
-
The Pinnacles - Relish a picnic dinner with a glass of local wine (all included) as we enjoy a spectacular natural light show beneath the sky. As night falls, marvel at the celestial beauty of stars and planets swirling above. Listen to ancient Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and gaze light-years into the distance.
-
Perth - On the return journey to Perth, we’ll pause to admire the wonders of the night sky.
