zac's Perfect Days

Mountains & Beer

    • Morning
      • Glo's

      • Amazing diner food, with actual (very early) diner hours. They have the best corned beef hash I've ever had.
      • Snow Lake

      • Snow Lake is a fantastic hike that's still only about an hour from Seattle. It's a moderate hike, so nice for out of towners that are in shape. Pack a lunch and bring it with you to enjoy by the lakeside.
    • Afternoon
      • Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream

      • Reward yourself, post-hike, with the best ice cream you'll ever eat. The mint chip is a classic.
    • Evening
      • Hopvine Pub

      • Get a few local IPAs (or other less good) at Hopvine, and have a sandwich or pizza. Great pub food and a perfect place to start the night out.
    • Night
      • Elysian Brewing Company

      • Stop #2 on the Capitol Hill beer tour is Elysian. Their beers are excellent and they always have several seasonals on tap.
      • The Pine Box

      • And for your final good-beer-barcrawl stop, a relative Seattle newcomer. Pine Box always has a killer selection, and has a very cool Randall device (look it up). Pine Box is also just up from downtown, so it's an easy stagger back to your hotel.
      • I would stay at: Downtown Seattle

      • Anywhere in the standard downtown area is fine to stay in. It's very central to all neighborhoods. You can walk to Capitol Hill, Lower Queen Anne, South Lake Union, Belltown, Pioneers Square, and even SoDo. Not to mention that every bus passes through, and you're near Pike's Market.
