Start your day off with a delicious breakfast at Colette Bar & Bistro in Sofitel Minneapolis.
This contemporary French restaurant is fabulous! My personal favorite: crab cakes benedict. If you don't want to do the sit-down breakfast in the restaurant, grab a croissant from the bakery and take it to go.
Take a walk at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, around Normandale Lake or at Normandale Japanese Gardens
Nearly 1/3 of Bloomington is green space, so take in the lovely nature at one of three areas: stroll 1.8 miles around Normandale Lake on the west side of Bloomington, lose yourself in nature at one of only four urban wildlife refuges in the country, or relax and snap a few pictures in the beautiful, serene Japanese gardens.
Shop at Mall of America
Tax-free clothing and shoes, an amusement park, movie theaters, a comedy club, an aquarium, over 520 stores and 50+ restaurants. That's what the Mall of America has to offer under one roof. From your high end stores such as Armani Exchange and Michael Kors to Nike and everything in between, there is surely something for everyone. If you buy too much, you can always purchase another suitcase to bring your new items home in!
Enjoy lunch at CRAVE in Mall of America
Take a break from shopping and refuel at CRAVE, where there are many fresh, vibrant selections in a chic environment. If you like sushi, you're in for a real treat! You'll be ready for round two of shopping after this.
Pamper yourself at Blast Blow Dry Bar
After shopping until you nearly drop, finish the afternoon off with a relaxing blowout. You'll feel rejuvenated and ready for the night without having to lift a finger!
Grab dinner at Cowboy Jack's
Listen to live country music, enjoy dinner outside on the patio while playing a game of bags, and if you're feeling brave enough, you can end the evening with a ride on the mechanical bull. It's so fun that you may not want to leave after dinner. Giddy up!
Hop on the Light Rail and head into downtown Minneapolis from Mall of America LRT Station
Looking for exciting bars and nightlife but don't want to drive or take a cab into downtown Minneapolis? Hop on the METRO Blue Line from Mall of America or one of the other stops on the East side of Bloomington. Get off at the Nicollet Mall, Warehouse/Hennepin Ave or Target Field stations to catch the most lively parts of downtown.
