Amazing experience in Peruvian textiles - The workshop itself and the attention to detail in the logistics were above and beyond my expectations. After the reservation, the communication on how to get to their location and food preferences made a positive impression and made it a lot easier for me and my friend to get to the workshop. The workshop itself was very informative. Marco and the staff are amazing, nice, and knowledgeable people. Marco speaks English and made it much easy to understand the complicated processes. The cause of the organization is to support single mothers in Peru. The information shared during the dyeing, spinning, and weaving process was very good. Lunch was super delicious! The views from their location are breathtaking. You do not have to purchase anything, but you will find it hard not to do so because the quality of their work is noteworthy, so take some money with you. If you are even remotely interested in fabric arts, you will find this workshop so worthwhile

Incredibly Authentic Experience! - As a solo traveller wanting an authentic experience, Andean Colours did not disappoint. Marco and his family were wonderful. An impromptu walk with the Alpacas followed by a full start to finish guide on the ancient wisdom of working with the wool and yarns of Alpacas. Understanding how they used natures gifts to colour, dye and wash the yarns. How sacrificing a bug from the cactus plant to use as red dye was super fascinating. I decided to do this tour as a slow introduction to Cusco before heading out to do the 4 day Inca trek. A mix of Spanish and English with an incredible home made lunch with an even more crazy back drop view. I would highly recommend this tour from solo travellers to couples to families. I’m still wearing the bracelet I made and can’t imagine taking it off. Thanks again, truly wonderful experience.

10/10 experience had a lovely time - I had an unforgettable time at the traditional textile workshop with Andean Colors. From the start, communication with the host was smooth and welcoming. Marcos, Polita and Miguel and other staff met us with amazing warmth. The workshop itself was incredibly informative and hands-on—we learned about ancient weaving techniques, natural dyes, and the cultural roots of Andean textiles. There was so much to do, and everything was explained with great care and passion. And we loved being able to do the activities in traditional ponchos!! Lunch was absolutely delicious, and the setting made the entire experience feel warm and authentic. There’s also a beautiful shop on-site where you can purchase handmade products that directly support single mothers from Cusco’s communities, which made every purchase more meaningful. The llamas and alpacas were friendly and adorable, making for great photo moments and even better memories. This was easily one of the best cultural activities I’ve done in Peru. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the Cusco area. 10/10 – would absolutely recommend

Best workshop in Peru - We had the most wonderful time on this workshop. The surroundings are stunning and workshop was really interesting. We learnt so much about caring for the alpacas and llamas, feeding them and taking them for a walk and then how the wool is washed, spun, dyed and woven. We came away with great memories, a handmade bracelet and our own hand-dyed wool to take away and keep making. They support a community of singles mothers in the local area so coming on the workshop supports a good cause too.

AMAZING!!! - An excellent experience! The instructors were great and the views were amazing. Best views of our trip so far. It was a hands on experience. From picking leaves, to making a dye paste, dying the fabric, learning to clean and spin, as well as making a bracelet, this workshop is as hands on as it gets! We also got to walk llamas!! Marcos and Paola were so kind, patient, and fun. And the lunch was delicious. Cannot recommend this experience enough. If you have an interest in weaving, dying, Andean culture, or just passing a great afternoon, you will love this. An excellent store afterwards if you want to buy anything. They were very patient with no pressure to buy anything. As far as transportation, if you aren’t familiar / comfortable with spanish or Peruvian Transportation, I’d just make sure to have transport set up to and from. Which Andean Colors can also help set up for you! It’s close to Cusco and Urubamba so not too long a ride.

An unforgettable and authentic experience - A huge thank you to our host for this magical moment. We learned a lot thanks to clear and exciting explanations, while living every step of the weaving process: from cleaning and dyeing wool (which we were able to take away!) to spinning, to weaving a nice bracelet. Special mention for walking with alpacas in traditional clothes – a real moment of happiness! The meal was delicious, and the exchange with our host, very human. I recommend closing your eyes to anyone looking for a true immersion in local culture.

So much Peru packed in a day - This is an experience that you may think is all about being crafty. However, you learn a lot about Peru that cannot be discovered in the cities. Fun starts with feeding & walking llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. You experience what plants and bugs make dyes. Then the weaving of a bracelet culminates the lessons learned. The traditional food was delicious. Did we mention that the views were amazing? Marco and Paula were engaging as our teachers for the day. We appreciated the wares they sold in the shop and that they support single mothers.
