An artist in his garden, Monet was also an artist globally, and embarked on lengthy painting excursions. Yet he was never truly far. Via his correspondence, he kept a watchful eye on his kin and his blooms. The routine calls from his friends and admirers made Giverny the focal point of his life. Until he passed on in 1926, the artist, the patriarch, the landscaper, and the gentleman forever stayed in Giverny.

Claude Monet resided in Giverny from 1883 till 1926, a total of forty-three years. He had a fervent passion for both gardening and colours, and he crafted his flower garden and water garden like true masterpieces. As visitors wander around his garden and house, they are still able to immerse themselves in the ambiance that engulfed the master of Impressionism, and marvel at the floral compositions and water lilies that were his principal inspiration and source of creativity.
