This tour was amazing! - You shouldn't see Versailles without a guide. Claire was tops. She spoke English very well, with hardly an accent, which made her easy to understand. And you will want to understand her. She has a breadth of knowledge about Versailles that was wonderful. Her experience as a guide was evident. I addition to her knowledge, she was friendly and helpful. She told us not only WHAT happened, but WHY it happened. She is a treasure.

Great Experience, Worth the Time and Money - I joined the Versailles full-Day Tour with the Estate of Marie-Antoinette as a solo traveler and had a wonderful time. Barrett did a great job of herding our group on the train and handing us off to Umberto, who led the tour. As expected, the interior of the palace was packed, but Umberto managed to position himself so we could hear his stories about the royals and their challenges. I definitely recommend this trip!

Fantastic experience - Informative guide. Very interesting. Hassle free experience. Would recommend but be mindful that there is a lot of walking to cover the whole tour.

Fantastic tour with fabulous guides. - We are so glad we chose the full day tour option with Palace, gardens and Marie Antoinette Estate. Sofie was an excellent guide with a wealth of information and easy to understand. The headsets were great. Berek, the guide who accompanied us on the RER from Paris to Versailles was great and gave us clear instructions on how to return to our Airbnb after the tour. Would highly recommend this tour with skip the line entry. The crowds were massive and skip the line mandatory.

Return to Versailles - This full day tour was perfect for us. We returned to Versailles 30+ years later and decided on a full day guided tour. We learned so much from our guide, Sylvie. She was a joy to have with us on the tour. Her knowledge of Versailles, the gardens, Petit Trianon, Queen's Hamlet and French history was top notch. We liked that our group was on the smaller side as well (there was 7 of us in the group), which made the tour that much more enjoyable. We had Skip the line access with our guide, entering the palace at 9:30 a.m. on a Thursday. The palace did get a bit crowded as the day went on, but was still enjoyable without the massive crowds you hear about. The visits to the Petit Trianon and Queen's Hamlet are a must. So very beautiful. We took a mid day break for lunch. We choose to dine at La Flottille near the Grand Canal, delicious lunch, we were seated right away. Highly recommend good walking shoes as you will walk A LOT but totally worth it. We did take the Trianon Train from Petit Trianon after the tour was complete. Make sure to allow extra time for exploring around the gardens after the tour, as after you exit, you are not allowed to re-enter the grounds. The walk to and from the train station was about 15 minutes, not bad at all. Overall, would highly recommend this tour and hopefully, you too, will have Sylvie as your guide.

Amazing tour with Julie - My husband and I did this experience. It started with assistance from the tour company on getting to Versailles via the train which was welcome considering we didn’t want the frustration or potential of getting lost. But the highlight was Julie, who was at Versailles and took us around for 6+ hours. She was knowledgeable and friendly, answered all of our questions and more. Highly recommend!!!

A stressful day - I really wanted to love this tour. Mainly because I loved Versailles. Visiting there, I absolutely recommend. Unfortunately, the tour with Memories France was not what I hoped it would be. Admittedly, I will say that some of the issues my husband and I had with the tour were not things that the tour company could control, but when taken into full consideration with the entire day, it just really made for a really stressful experience. It didn't help that there were issues with transportation at the start of the day. Something happened with the original train we were supposed to take and the second one our guide chose ended up being delayed, causing us to get to Versailles an hour or so later than we were supposed to, which led to us having to wait even longer to get in because we'd missed our entry time slot and had to wait for them to fit us in at another time. I will say, the tour company offered us a discount if we booked another tour to make up for the inconvenience, but at that point our entire trip was already planned out and there was no opportunity to fit in another tour to take advantage of the discount being offered. The guide was okay, but struggled with English more than I expected on a tour that was advertised as being in English, so it was difficult to understand what she was saying somethings. I'll give her credit, though, because she did have a lot of knowledge about Versailles and would have likely been an excellent guide if she'd been a little easier to understand. Additionally, being late caused us to be rushed through the tour inside the palace and a little rushed through the gardens. By the time we were able to stop for lunch, it was so late in the day without having anything to eat or drink, I was starting to get sick but at the time we paused, all the available restaurants were either filled to max and not letting people in or they were closed. Our only option was to get a few snacks at one of the vendor trucks which really wasn't much of a meal. At that point, I was so exhausted and so frustrated and so stressed by how crazy the day had been, I just kind of found a place to sit and cry for a bit until it was time to meet back up with the group to continue the tour. I can honestly say, that's the first time I've ever been on a tour while on vacation that had me literally stressed to tears. So while I can say the Palace of Versailles is definitely worth a visit and I'm glad I went - I can't say I'm glad that I booked this tour.
