Want to please the whole family? How about a sweet and chocolate treasure hunt in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a neighborhood housing the best chocolate makers and pastry brands in Paris. This playful and gourmet tour includes 7 tastings. Throughout the tour, your children will participate in a treasure hunt to discover the next store where you will taste some of the best French delicacies: macarons, caramel and different types of chocolate!
To begin, you will enter the oldest chocolate factory in Paris. Further on, macarons are the order of the day. The next discovery concerns a French specialty that you can make all the delights of, be it candy, jam or cream: salted butter caramel. You will certainly enjoy some of these caramel recipes before turning back to pastries to bite into a delicious cream puff. The visit will end in summer with one of the best ice-creams in Paris, and in winter with an invigorating hot chocolate.

Fun and Tasty Afternoon - We visited seven sweet shops and each was a delight both to see and to taste. Also the neighborhood was beautiful and a pleasure to walk. Charlotte, our guide, was fabulous with our granddaughter engaging her in finding the shops and teaching her French words, and generally making the tour extra special for her.

Sweet alternative to another museum tour - Taking a chocolate and sweets tour was welcome fun and a nice break from the museums, galleries and typical tours. Our guide was fantastic and made the experience a lot of fun for all four of us in our family (teenage girls and parents)

Paris: Children, Culture and Fun - My experience with Meet the Locals was excellent and I passionately recommend this group. My grandson’s first visit to Paris was enhanced by their planning and suggestions. Considering the number of days available, Dominique suggested activities with a tailored plan balancing culture and entertainment. Her proposed plan included paid and non-paid options and recommendations for restaurants in the areas we were visiting.
The company was impeccable in keeping us informed, reassuring times and places for pick-up. E-mails 72 hours prior to the event and text/calls!
Our guide, Sebastien, was knowledgeable and had enormous patience answering questions and inquietudes of a 9 years old.

Don’t worry. You’re walking off the calories! - Choosing a favorite dessert in Paris can be intimidating. My family of 5 had a great time walking through the Latin Quarter sampling some of Paris’ tastiest treats. Some highlights were Marie Antoinette’s favorite chocolatiers, the meringue desserts, and the cream puffs (much better than the cream puffs we get in the USA).
Our guide, Marcela was wonderful with our 10 and 4 year old daughters and so knowledgeable about the history of the Latin Quarter and the establishments we visited.

Private Family Paris Sweet and Chocolate Treasure Hunt - Romain was kind and entertaining for our 10 and 13 year old sons. We loved eating the various sweets and hearing the history of the shops. A great afternoon in St. Germaine!
