The name in English translates as “Market of the Red Children”, and refers to the nearby “Hospice des Enfants-Rouges” where orphans were clothed in red (the color of charity). The market offers fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and bread, as well as restaurants where shoppers can buy cooked meals.

  • National Archives - In this area we will stop in a local restaurant to enjoy a second tasting (Bar Brasserie Les Philosophes). Situated in the the marvelous Htel de Soubise, the National Archives Museum was created in 1867 under the reign of Louis-Napolon Bonaparte, during the II Empire. It hosts a collection of important documents related to the history of France. The Rococo style rooms belonging to the Soubise family and the french classical design of the front garden are something not to be missed.

  • Jardin de l’Hotel de Sully - In this area we will stop in a local restaurant to enjoy a third tasting (Terrasse Sainte Catherine).
The Htel de Sully is a Louis XIII style htel particulier, or private mansion, located at 62 rue Saint-Antoine in the Marais, IV arrondissement, Paris, France. Built at the beginning of the 17th century, it is nowadays the seat of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, the French national organization responsible for national heritage sites. It has been listed since 1862 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

  • Place des Vosges - In this area we will stop in a local restaurant to enjoy a fourth tasting (La Cidrerie du Marais).
Place des Vosges, originally Place Royale, is the oldest planned square in Paris, France. It is located in the Marais district, and it straddles the dividing-line between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris. It was a fashionable and expensive square to live in during the 17th and 18th centuries, and one of the main reasons for the chic nature of Le Marais among the Parisian nobility.

Amazing Paris Private Food Tour - My spouse and I had an amazing time on this tour of Parisian food and culture with Pablo. We were warmly greeted and thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated all of the knowledge Pablo shared with us about the areas of Paris we explored and the delicious food we got to eat at amazing locations. There was so much delicious food with paired drinks perfectly spaced out between stops so that we can enjoy each unique dish. Even after the tour was over Pablo went above and beyond as an ambassador of France by helping us discover great places in the other cities that we were visiting throughout our stay in France. He is an outstanding host and great human who is passionate about sharing this wonderful and beautiful county and culture with others. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who is traveling to Paris and wants to experience the food and history of Paris with a wonderful guide.

Awesome, and celiac friendly - What a wonderful time! Pablo showed us lovely places and shared history about the local architecture. He was happy to help us work with a gluten issue. It was also great for getting suggestions on places for the rest of our trip. Recommended!

Amazing foodie tour - Amazing. Personalized service. Food was terrific (4 stops - cheese, escargot, pate and crepes - adjusted bc some places are closed on Mondays, adjusted for my gluten allergy). Tour was better. We’d definitely go recommend.

Well worthwhile - Achref was very knowledgeable about Paris history and the Marche district. He was a delight to talk to and answered all our questions about a number of subjects we were interested in. The food and wine were delicious and Achref ensured we were comfortable and entertained at all times. Highly recommend this tour.

Incredible bespoke tour of great foodie spots in Paris - Our tour with Pablo was just incredible. We are a family of four with children and Pablo navigated us through Paris to taste everything from cheese to escargot to Foie gras to crepes. Pablo is incredibly well educated (attended the Sorbonne), but was also down to earth and just a nice person. Our kids loved him and he engaged with them throughout the tour. We hope to return soon to try some of the other tours that he has in the works.

Absolutely a fabulous tour ! - I booked this tour on the spur of the moment and Paul, the guide, was absolutely brilliant, very knowledgeable about the food and about the history of Paris. We went to several different places, everything from a traditional brasserie with cheese and charcuterie boards to an oyster bar and french dishes such as escargot in a typical parisian terrasse, all paired with exquisite french wines. The crêpes at the end were simply out of this world. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to spend a few hours in Paris enjoying great food and great company. Thank you Paul !

Could have been better - We were expecting a much more detailed information about the history of the marais district we were walking through. Our guide did not participate in our meals and because we added oysters on our first stop, we did not receive the crepes. He left leaving us in the marais with no metro direction home to our hotel. Our guide did not appear to be enjoying himself. We did go to tasty restaurants.
