A wonderful and fun trip to Normandy - Gilles Lorand, with Finding France, was our tour guide for the DDay Beaches private tour of Normandy. Gilles was very knowledgeable of the region and provided an excellent historical account of the DDay invasion. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and humorous which made our tour extremely enjoyable. Our minivan was comfortable and clean and Gilles provided us with water for our trip. In addition, he took us to a distillery for apple cider/ wine tasting which was great fun! We highly recommend Gilles if you are planning a trip to the Beaches of Normandy or any tours around Paris. Gilles prepares his presentation after extensive research which provides a more accurate account of the events of the DDay invasion. This tour exceeded our expectations!!

Worth spending the day - We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the tour. Agnes was a wonderful guide and host, providing a strong depth of knowledge on D-Day, the sites as well as the backdrop that led-up to the battles at and around Normandy. Her willingness to tailor the experience to the group was great for our 3 children.

5-Star Normandy Tour with Giles - Our tour with Giles was very interesting and worthwhile. We are very interested in World War II history, and he gave a great tour with lots of information about the war, specific sites, and people. He took us to all of the most important sites of the area, often stopping to explain interesting facts. Giles was also a great guide apart from the history. We visited an awesome Cider tasting place, and the overall conversation all day was great. Overall, it was a very eyeopening journey through Normandy for us, and we would not have been able to learn as much without Giles!

Amazing time in Normandy - Our trip to Normandy was both educational and moving. Clement was a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. We saw several of the beaches where the troops came ashore on DDay and visited the American museum and cemetery. Standing in the places where so many lost their lives fighting for freedom was an undescribable feeling. We also stopped at a local apple farm and sampled some delicious spirits that are made there. Our guide provided a couple locations for lunch to choose from. We really enjoyed our lunch and getting to visit with our guide and his team. I'd definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting France!

A MUST TRIP WHEN VISITING FRANCE - My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with this trip to Normandy. Our driver Remy picked us up at our hotel in Paris 15 minutes before our scheduled trip, he was an absolute pleasure to talk to for the 2 plus hour ride there and back. Sarah our guide was extremely knowledgeable throughout the tour. Her explanation on all the details of what we’re seeing was truly amazing which included some fascinating personal insight from her 101 year old grandmother. HIGHLY RECOMMEND……..

Amazing Omaha beach/Normandy with a great tour guide = Agnes! - My wife and I celebrated a trip to Europe (2 weeks) for our 30th Anniversary. We ended with a tour of Normandy/Omaha beach/etc... As a US Army Veteran this tour was amazing. Agnes our guide was so lovely and so knowledgeable. She hit all the key spots. I didnt know what I wanted to see but in the end she hit exactly the areas i needed to see. That hallowed ground was so moving and her history and descriptions made the visit so much more meaningful. She also took us to a lovely port for a great lunch! And oh by the way its a 3+ hour drive one way, Agnes is a great driver! :) A great ending for our trip of a lifetime!

Very moving visit to D Day beaches in Normandy. - We had a lovely driver and guide for our day trip to Normandy, Gilles. He gave us background on WWII, and details of the American invasion even before we got to the beaches. It was interesting to see the bunkers and barricades. Buy the most moving part was the visit to the American cemetery. Thank you Gilles for making this a pleasant and memorable day. I can't believe he drove us from our hotel to Normandy and back in one day, and was set to go again the next day. And he was a great driver and a delightful person to spend the day with.

Remy our driver was... - Remy our driver was fantastic. He was early to pick us up, ready to go when we were completed at our places on the tour and on the return to Paris on New Year’s Eve was able to get us to our hotel even with many streets closed. Estelle was knowledgeable about the area. However, she did not take us to the church where the paratrooper was trapped all night nor to the family farm for cheese and cider tasting as the Viator website described —and we paid full fare.
