A creepily wonderful tour. - Our guide was very charming and knowledgeable. He answered questions and told great stories. He also had a sinister laugh, the perfect the companion for a haunted tour!

Great tour! - She was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend a tour guide since the cemetery is so big and easy to get lost in.

Spooky Cemetery - thank goodness for sunshine - Excellent guide - Emma was engaging and knowledgeable. The cemetery is huge and I can’t follow a map to save my life so a guide was essential or I’d still be there, but Emma was more than just a beacon - she told us the story of Eloise and Abelard (the inspiration behind Romeo and Juliette). We went from a most celebrated Chopin to the modest and almost hidden Jim Morrison. She told us stories and legends, missing bodies, satanic rituals and the most famous vampiress (is that a word? It should be a word). What an afternoon, so glad we did it on a sunny day, that place is spooky. If you want a bit of time to explore by yourself I’d suggest the morning session or go early before the afternoon slot, the gate keeper really didn’t want any loiterers!

Bertrand Bayern - Choose Bertrand Beyern, THE reference guide of Father Lachaise. An exciting and rewarding visit; surprising anecdotes. We loved his sometimes offbeat style and always perfectly documented. For a very nice rate, 15 € / person, this tour can last up to 3 hours without seeing time pass.

An enjoyable 2 hour tour with Philippe! - Philippe is a wonderful guide! Not only did he keep us engaged with stories as we walked around the cemetery, but he also made sure other guests that had a slower walking pace were tended to. The cold and cloudy day added to the atmosphere. The 2 hours went quick for me with all the stories to hear and sights to see. We finished just before the cemetery closed and got dark. I highly recommend the tour so give you a slice of history at Père Lachaise Cemetery!

MG Jacob’s review - I think that the visit to the cemetery is very insightful and interesting. I learned a lot and enjoyed it. The only disappointment was that the visit was shorter than described in the reservation. The reservation stated that it would be two hours, and Morgan ended the tour at precisely 12 noon rather than 12:30 pm.. Therefore I felt that we could have learned about more things in the two hours that we were supposed to have on the visit.
