Additional Information

Experience the very first introduction of covered galleries in Paris. Immerse yourself in the environment of Paris during the time of Honoré de Balzac.

Our exploration of the covered passages begins in an enchanting location: the Palais-Royal, the birthplace of covered galleries. From there, we’ll journey through a magnificent gallery of gold and marble, a frequent location for film shoots. We’ll explore the various professions carried out in these Parisian corridors, such as master glove making.

Our journey takes us under the Galerie Vivienne, a venue riddled with the machinations of the mighty François Vidocq. We will proceed in the Galerie Colbert, filled with splendid Pompeian decorations.

We will then depart from the Palais-Royal area to explore other covered passages in the Grands-Boulevards district: the Passage des Panoramas and the passage Jouffroy, which houses the unique hotel Chopin.

We’ll conclude our tour in the passage Verdeau, a meeting place for collectors.

A tour not to be bypassed.

Fun & different activity - Interesting and historic tour of passages most people just walk by without knowing their story. Rainy day was perfect for this activity (90mins/2 hours). It oriented you to the areas so you could continue shopping, wandering, or getting lunch in the area. Great deal for this price.
