Excellent museum - We had a private tour with Catherine and she was excellent from Viator! The museum was fabulous and we loved it! So much to see and one painting was more exquisite than the next!! Wasn't too crowded, but it was a lot of walking:)

Getting to Know the Louvre - Our guide Ganzalo was perfectly charming & knowledgeable giving us a fantastic experience. Even with limited mobility on my part, we were able to see much more than I would have thought possible.

Have tickets before you go - Two days is a must. We got advance tickets before we left home. Go to the advance tickets line entry at the Carousel entrance (midway down the Rivoli side with a glass window that projects from the side). The tickets line was still long and took about 30 minutes. They do ask for you to stay in your ticket time slot but we ignored this as it takes so long to get to the entrance. You can leave the museum ( you are still in the museum) for lunch and rescan your ticket to get back in. No real lineups here. Several baguette stands, minimal seating. Best advice: tickets on line, go early, have a plan of what to see as there are three sections. Not great for kids, too much walking, too many people. Mona Lisa is busy, behind a curtain to limit numbers. See Napoleon’s apartments. Be prepared for walking and lots of stairs.

Louvre in about two hours - Survey of major artists through renaissance until early 1800’s - even tho an Easter crowd, we met Damien in time and avoided all the lines. He is quite knowledgeable and mixed the politics of the times with the art. Though an art history fan for fifty years I learned so much from Damien. I highly recommend him

Amazing tour of the Louvre - We had a great day at the Louvre. Our guide was very knowledgeable and perfectly tailored the tour to our needs. He connected very well with our 8-year old son and kept him engaged for the whole tour.

Great experience! - Well worth the extra money to have an expert showing us around and taking us in the most efficient routes! They had great knowledge of the building and all of the artifacts in it as well that we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. Our guide was lovely.

It’s a scam - It’s a scam. Don’t waste your money. They don’t contact you. They don’t come. Even tickets aren’t included.

My guide never showed. I... - My guide never showed. I began calling after 10 minutes of waiting at the designated spot and no one answered the phone. The voicemail box was full which tells me other people had the same issue. I tried texting, as well, to no avail. I am trying to get my money back. It was an AWFUL way to start my Paris excursion.
