This adventure focuses on savoring and understanding the distinctive “terroir” of the Loire Valley. Participants will explore the delightful Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes, along with various types of goat cheese. The journey includes visits to two wineries with intriguing histories, strolls through vineyards, and tours of cellars filled with oak barrels. Additionally, a visit to a local farm will offer insights into goat milking and the cheese-making process.

The first winery boasts a remarkable Franco-American history involving Thomas Jefferson and General LaFayette. Its stunning chateau features a medieval donjon tower and is entirely encircled by vineyards that produce high-quality Pouilly-Fumé wines. The second winery is managed by two dedicated brothers who are enthusiastic about natural winemaking techniques, crafting exceptional Sancerre wines.
