Additional Information

The experience is kept exclusive with a limit of six people per group. Art history has consistently seen the male nude figure and homosexuality as transformative forces. This one-of-a-kind tour will guide you through the portrayal of not just homosexuality, but also masculinity and nudity, spanning a timeline of 9000 years from Mesopotamia to 19th-century French artwork. Much of the Louvre’s gallery might revolve around religious themes, but the artists behind them intricately threaded a tapestry of romance and intimacy – often involving themselves. If you’re eager to unravel the tensions between Raphael, Leonardo, and Michelangelo and how they echoed in their male depictions, this tour is tailor-made for you!

Gay Louvre! - My fiance and I had such a wonderful time on this tour. Ahmed had so many great stories and we learned so much queer history. We really appreciated how passionate he was about art history and that he understood how tired we were after flying in from Portland! We definitely recommend this tour!

So much fun and so much learning! - This was such a great tour! Ahmed was a fantastic guide! He found a perfect mix of history, stories and jokes. We learned so much but he kept it all fun and interesting from start to finish and we left with such a deep appreciation of history and our place in it! Worth every penny!

Team Adam Forever! - Adam is an extraordinary human being. My first experience with Adam, as a guide, had such an impact on me that what I knew, until now, that a guided tour must mean, was turned upside down by Adam after the tour from the Orsay Museum. He is the most intelligent, educated and knowledgeable man I have met in my life. Plus he is an incredibly funny and spiritual guy. Today I went on the tour presented by him at the Louvre, and although I was and on February 1 with another guide, the way he organized and the extraordinary information he provided won me over again. Congratulations Adam for the way you teach people to love art, in a different way! I wish that all guides should be like you. I know it's impossible! They are "peasants"!!:)) Team Adam forever!

Great tour 10/10! - Violette was brilliant. Can't recommend her highly enough for our private tour of 5. She gave us a great 'glimpse' of the Louvre and made it engaging, entertaining and enlightening. She was also very funny.

Attention LGBTQ+ Community - Not to Be Missed - Every gay patron of the Louvre needs to take this tour. Don't let the name fool you, it is more of a gay history of civilization rather than all that erotic. I learned so much about gay history dating all the way back to the ninth century BC and was able to appreciate the artifacts in the museum so much more than venturing in on my own. It was like I knew a little secret that none of the other patrons knew. I was fortunate that I was the only one on the tour that day, but Adam, the guide, said that it is usually a very small group. He really wants to get more of the LGBTQ community to view the Louvre through his lens. And don't worry, we hit all of the big stuff too. When we ended at the Mona Lisa, I had a whole new appreciation of the work that I never had before.

Best Tour in Gay Paris! - This was by far my favorite tour (out of many on a three week trip across Europe) and made my first visit to the Louvre an unforgettable experience. I was specifically interested in learning about the queer history surrounding the Louvre and homoeroticism in its artwork spanning thousands of years of human civilization. I was so fortunate to find Adam’s unique tour. I was completely blown away by the tour from start to finish. Adam is an absolute fountain of knowledge and his passion for his work is palpable. He made the experience so engaging, hilarious, and an absolute blast. I learned more from him in 3 hours than I did in entire art history courses in college. I highly recommend booking an experience with Fat Cat Tours if you visit Paris. You will not be disappointed!
