Did you know that a brief 40-minute train journey from Paris can transport you completely into the lap of nature? While you’re in Paris, consider switching things up and embarking on a scenic hike in beautiful countryside. This small group excursion, limited to just 10 people, traces the footprints of renowned Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh, all the way from Pontoise to Meriel via Auvers sur Oise.
Van Gogh created numerous esteemed masterpieces in Auvers sur Oise (80 to be precise). He passed away in 1890 and was interred in the village with his brother Theo. Our trek will also lead us through the town of Pontoise, the rural landscapes of Vexin, the charming village of Auvers sur Oise, and alongside the Oise river till we reach Meriel, from where we board our return train to Paris.
DO KEEP IN MIND that this is a 7.5 miles HIKE that includes a few slopes. To truly relish the walk, you need to be reasonably fit. This implies being capable of briskly walking a minimum of 5km without taking breaks. Be aware that the tour spans 5 hours.

Wonderful adventure! - I loved this unique experience. Victor was an excellent guide, and the hike was beautiful and informative. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to visit Paris!

Fascinating Paris - I was fascinated by that great city, we walked a lot because that was our goal, we used A1 public transport, we bought the Navigo card, the weekly one, I took my photos and we paid 35 euros for unlimited use of the card, it works from Sunday to Monday.
Despite being close to the Olympic Games, we didn't have any problems, we really enjoyed the landmarks, the people, the food, the crazy weather, it was raining, it was sunny and it was very windy.

Fantastic Hiking Tour - This hiking tour is one of my highlights of my 2 week trip to France. It was our luck that others cancelled due to possible rain. My friend and I had Victor to ourselves, and there were no other tourists on the hike towards Aubers Sur Ouise! Beautiful , breathtaking, quiet scenery and we saw the places where Van Gogh painted. Victor explained a lot of things along the way and had fun quizzes. I highly recommend this hiking tour. Doing it by bus will be easier than hiking but it will not be the same.

Unique, beautiful way to learn about Van Gogh - Thave a newfound appreciation for Van Gogh atter this trip! Victor is so informative and full of interesting facts. The scenery of the trek is absolutely amazing as well. Highly recommend this experience.

Walking in Van Gogh"s footsteps - This tour made Van Gogh' art just so much more interesting with Victor providing lots of fun facts and taking us to the towns and landscapes that would have been otherwise very hard for us to get to ourselves.

Van Gogh hiking - Victor is very excellent tour guide and he’s very knowledgeable about the Van Gogh painter. He’s also very helpful in everything from going back to the hotel. I would recommend him to friends and family.

Culture, learning, and exercise! - If you are a fit walker, do not miss this tour! It's the kind of thing one would not have been able to do on one's own. Victor has created a delightful experience that combines culture, learning, and exercise, and the beauty of the walk was a balm. Additionally, we were blessed with perfect weather, which greatly added to the day's pleasure. We began by knowing a little bit about Van Gogh and Impressionism, and ended by knowing a great deal more, and wanting to book a trip to Amsterdam to continue the adventure!

Exceeded Expectations - Far and away my favorite tour while in Paris. Although I appreciate art, I was more interested in the hiking aspect. That quickly changed as our Tour Guide (Victor) was fully engaging. He went above and beyond to make the day enjoyable and interactive. I learned so much. This is not something that can be said of any other tour I experienced while in France. Typically, the tour guides mail it in, not Victor….He was great and his passion for what he does shined through.
