Wonderful - Tour guide was FANTASTIC!!! I scheduled other tours requesting her!!!! She was very informative, friendly, left us with the feeling she enjoyed being with us.

March 2024 Eiffel Tower Visit - Amazing tour. Melanie was a wealth of knowledge. Well worth it. We weren’t able to make it to the summit due to it being closed, but it was still worth the wait.

Perfect for what it was. - Rating 5 stars for the house, Sanya. She was wonderful, positive attitude even though it was cold and rainy, and she haas great information to tell us about the tower. For those wishing to make this tour, 1. The fine print says to show up 30 minutes before the start time of the tour. I don’t understand the logic here - just tell us the start time. As a result, many people were “late” to their time slots. 2. This isn’t a traditional “tour”. You are basically are paying for an expeditor to collect the group, wait in the ticket line, purchase the tickets, and escort you up to the second floor of the tower. I felt I got my money’s worth, but be aware that’s what this is. 3. Dress appropriately! It is *cold* on the second floor when raining/windy, and standing in line to descend was in the top 5 most cold and miserable I’ve ever been.

We should have booked... - We should have booked earlier and on the actual website. Last minute booking cost 3 times what the actual ticket price was, meet at the meeting point with 25 other ppl, walk to the 2 hour line up with the guide, she doesn't talk at all, buys the tickets and then hands them to you and sends you on your way. Book the tickets yourself. It was fine for a last minute option but be on the ball and book yourself.

Total waste of time and money - This was a total waste of time! They do not purchase tickets in advance and ask you to meet half an hour before your time slot. After half hour they take you through the same queue as general public where you wait for 2+ hours so your guide can purchase tickets. This is a total rip off and waste of time and money. We waited for over 2 hours in cold windy weather. I want my money back.

Big Let Down at the Eiffel - If I could give it zero stars I would. No offense to the Eiffel Tower but we didn’t receive what we paid a premium for. First off, there was only one elevator operating. We waited for at least two hours in very cold less than desirable weather. I had read via social media that people who had tickets to to the days before and the day before had received notices that their tour was cancelled and were refunded their money. This never happened for us so to say we were less than happy when we arrived to be told about the delays is an understatement. The options were continue to wait in line for another two hours ( bringing the wait to 4.5 hours) or climb up over 600 flights of stairs. When we agreed to climb steps we still waited. It was chaotic and disorganized. Why did I go through Viator when I could have saved a substantial amount of money and just booked through the official Eiffel Tower or showed up the morning of and waited just as much. ???? Because it’s a racket—-a way to have you spend more thinking you’re skipping the line or getting some sort of perk or convenience when you are NOT. Tour guide was nice enough and we don’t fault him for the loss of one functioning elevator or the bad weather. But after climbing all of the stairs and being told to go get a refreshment (more time/more expense) we had had enough. Didn’t even walk around to take pictures because we were so over the whole thing. The tour was a joke. And this is a once in a lifetime experience so we feel completely gypped. Have booked other Viator tours in other cities but after this experience have decided we will think long and hard or just forego altogether.

Misleading Tour Experience: Eiffel Tower Access Disappointment - We purchased this tour based on the title, which promised 'Eiffel Tower Access for the Second Floor and the Summit by Elevator.' However, the information provided was misleading. It stated that we would meet our tour guide who would then provide us with our tickets. Contrary to this, upon arrival, the guide met us at the meeting point outside the venue. She then escorted us to the ticket line to purchase tickets, as she did not have them with her. This meant waiting in line with the guide, a process that could have been done independently and saved time and money. We waited for over 2 hours in line with our group of six, including my in-laws aged 83 and 74, and my two daughters. To ensure the comfort of the elders, they sat and waited at a near by table, my older daughter took turns to check on them. However, when it was time to rejoin us, pass the security point and board the elevator, only my daughter was permitted to join the line after a stressful ordeal he tour guide and with security. It turns out that everyone needed to be in the queue to purchase tickets and access the tower. Despite the guide's assurance that my in-laws could wait and join us later, this was not allowed. The guide is only with you while in line and to purchase the tickets; then he gives you your tickets and leaves, so basically, he's a person walking with you while in line (trust me you can do this yourself). The Summit was crowded, so the guide told us she was only buying tickets to the second floor and advised us to request a refund from VIATOR. I will be seeking a full refund for the 2 tickets my in-laws did not use and 4 entries to the Summit. Unfortunately, my in-laws were unable to enter the tower at all. I understand that other tours may offer smoother experiences with pre-purchased tickets, but this was not the case with ours. It was a very disappointing experience overall."

Queued too long - We booked for 6pm and we’re still not in the tower at 8pm! We would have been in quicker if we queued ourselves as with the tour you still had to queue in the same queue as the public. The guide Liz however, was very nice and informative. But book direct or just turn up

Waste of time and money - This tour was a waste of time and money. Since it did not include an actual timed tower entry reservation or skip the line privileges, I’m not sure what we paid triple the price of the actual entry tickets for. On top of that, we wasted at least 30 minutes getting the large group organized before we even marched over to the actual tower entrance area. Despite then standing in line for tickets for nearly three hours, we didn’t get a bit of history or useful information out of our “guide”. Since advance reservation tickets were sold out from the official tower website on the day we wanted to visit, we would have been better off just hoping for the best and braving the line ourselves. The only silver lining was that because misery loves company, we built camaraderie with the other tour members who were also completely surprised that this tour didn’t save any time and cost three times what it was worth. Go see the Eiffel Tower, it was awesome, but not on this tour.

Not sold properly - Very complicated and cofusing app. 2 hour queue wait despite prebooking. Lifts out of order were not told about long queue wait.
