- Paris - 07:30 Hotel Pick up and Departure destination Champagne region. There are approx. 140 km to drive. The ride takes about 2 hours and one part of it goes along the picturesque Champagne landscapes and vineyards. One stop at a rest area will be made.

Champagne Chateau de Boursault - 10:00 - 10:45 visit at the local family producer Champagne Chateau Boursault located on the top of the hills. Tasting of 3 Glass of Champagne with explanations. Walking to the Chateau with beautiful views over the vineyards inside of the walls of the Chateau.
10:45 Departure to Epernay (10 km). It takes about 15 minutes.
Attn. On Sundays Champagne Chateau Boursault is closed. So we will offer You another local Champagne producer. -
Moet et Chandon - 11:00 - 12:30 Arrival in Epernay. By Moet et Chandon we offer You three Experiences of different level including the underground cellars visit and tasting of 2 glasses of Champagne.
BASIC Experience “L’Imperial” with tastings of Moët Impérial and Rosé Impérial.
ADVANCED Experience SIGNATURE with tastings of Moët Imperial et Grand Vintage.
GRAND VINTAGE Experience with tastings of Grand Vintage blanc et rosé dans un salon.
Moet et Chandon is the world’s biggest Champagne producer. Every second one bottle of Moet et Chandon Champagne is being opened. -
Epernay - 12:30 - 14:00 Lunch break in Épernay. We can make a good local restaurant reservation or You can spend time of Your own. Épernay is known as the Champagne Capital of France. Located along the Marne river surrounded by the wine hills it is home of many region’s most prestigious champagne houses. Épernay is a must for champagne lovers. Walk the Avenue of Champagne attracts many tourists.
14:00 Departure to the Pressoria Museum in Ay village. It takes just 10 minutes (4 km). -
Pressoria - Voyage sensoriel au coeur du champagne - 14:15 - 15:15 Visit at Pressoria Museum in Ay village explaining us the History of the Champagne region and Champagne production including the Champagne tasting of 2 glasses of Champagne.
15:15 Departure to Hautvillers - a small historical village on the top of the hills. It takes about 10 minutes (6 km). -
Hautvillers - 15:30 - 16:00 The Abbey’s Church of Sindulphe d’Hautvillers visit. The Abbey was founded in 665 and remained active till the French Revolution 1789. Dom Perignon has developed the wine making methods in the region of Champagne. Nowadays there are 26 local Champagne producers in the village. Short stop at the View point with best Panoramic views over the vineyards and Marne river.
16:00 Departure to Paris. It takes 2 to 2,5 hours depending on traffic (135 km). -

Enjoy a private day trip from Paris to Champagne’s most scenic sites in a Mercedes, with room for 2 to 7 passengers and the promise of 9 glasses of Champagne. This includes a guided tour of the Moet et Chandon cellars with 2 glasses of Champagne, 3 glasses of Champagne from a local brand, 3 glasses from either Champagne Le Gallais or Chateau Boursault and 2 glasses of Champagne at the end of your visit at the Pressoria Museum. Exploring the church in Hautvillers, where Dom Perignon was laid to rest, is also on the itinerary, followed by a brief halt to enjoy the panoramic views over vineyards and the Marne river. Please note that there might be times when the basic L’Imperial guided tour at Moet et Chandon is not part of your package or is completely unavailable. In such scenarios, we will provide an alternative, albeit more costly, Experience at Moet et Chandon or another grand Champagne house of the LVMH group, such as Mercier, Castellane, Mumm etc. You can choose to accept this or cancel. Cancellations come at no cost with a full refund.

Awesome Day Tour From Paris to Champagne - Cyrus from Clewel Travel took us to an amazing trip of the Champagne region of France. He took us to two family-owned wineries and one big commercial champagne producer. We loved the mellow, crisp, and exquisite champagne produced by the family-owned vineyards, particularly the brut made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and White Chardonnay. The rolling hills, idyllic valleys, pristine woodlands, quaint towns and villages of the Champagne countryside are spectacular sights and lovely with breathtaking views. It helps to have a guide like Cyrus who knows the good wineries in the region.
This trip was a break away from just another tourist spot that other tour companies takes you to. Cyrus also went over and beyond his services by taking me to a pharmacy to get covid test at Epernay, as my flight back to New York is for the following morning. I will most definitely use Clewel Travel for my future travels in France, and hopefully I will get Cyrus again for a guide.

Good outing with a tinge of disappointment - Overall this was a good trip although a touch pricey.
The itinerary was good and they delivered what was promised with the 9 tastings at the 3 establishments including Moet & Chandon. Transport was very comfortable in a Mercedes van.
A word about the driver/guide Vadim. An excellent driver who tried his best to accommodate us. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, his command of English was limited to a handful of words. This took away from our enjoyment of the drive through the countryside as he was unable to explain anything to us. This was most disappointing especially since we had specified an English speaking driver/guide. It would be good if Clewel Tours paid more attention to details and did not take their customers for granted.
