Abbaye Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers - 13:40 - 14:10 Visit the Church of Saint-Sindulphe at the Abbey Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers, a former Benedictine monastery founded in 665 and active until the French Revolution in 1789. Dom Perignon developed winemaking methods in the Champagne region here. Today, 26 local Champagne producers are in the village. A stop at the viewpoint offers panoramic views over the vineyards and Marne river.
