Highlights
  • Edro III Shipwreck - The trip will take you to the Sea Caves, a unique work of nature. It is a state-protected natural landmark and is an unusual rock formation on the sea shore. Not far from the Sea Caves is the ship EDRO III, flying the flag of Sierra Leone, was laden with plasterboard and ran aground near Pegea on 8 December 2011, while sailing to Rhodes from Limassol. EDRO III weighs approximately 2,345 kg and is 80 metres long. According to the Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association, the ship is completely free of cargo and fuel and lies on the sea cliffs at an angle of 11-12 degrees. Landing on the ship is no longer allowed as it is dangerous. Together with CIMEXTA, the German ship-lifting company, the tasks of safely removing residual diesel, hydrocarbons and other marine pollutants from the ship and sealing the hull were assigned to the Cyprus Ship-lifting Company. All tasks were completed in October 2013.

Additional Information

The tour combines a fascinating land journey and a delightful sea excursion. You’ll explore the most scenic spots on the island. The itinerary includes a visit to the Sea Caves, nature’s unique masterpiece. Close to the Sea Caves is the wreck of the Edro III, a large cargo vessel that shipwrecked in the area.
On the trip from Paphos to Latchi Village, we’ll pass by the Banana Plantations. Once at the Latchi Village port, we’ll board a boat heading for the Blue Lagoon. The Captain will serve local wines (red or white), orange juice, and seasonal fruits, along with providing life jackets, once we arrive at the Blue Lagoon.
Taking a dip in the crystalline waters while enjoying wine, fruit, and the fresh sea breeze, embodies pure joy! Post this, the boat will return to Latchi, providing some leisure time for lunch and relaxation. We’ll then visit the Botanical Garden, housing a grotto known as the Baths of Aphrodite in an intimate nook. Following a leisurely day, we’ll begin our journey back to Paphos from this point.

Unmissable Great Value Deal - This is a great deal with convenient hotel pick up. Our collection point was at 8am at a hotel down the road, just 2 minute walk away. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and spoke good English. We started at the edro 3 ship wreck where we got half an hour to explore. Then we went to Akamas to board the Mediterranean One. It's a glass bottom boat with 3 levels. The top level is on a very steep incline and not suitable for people with mobility issues. The rest of the boat is easy to access by foot. The boat ride to the blue lagoon was 1 hour and has excellent views. We spent 1 hour for swimming in the blue lagoon which is one of the most beautifully clear lagoons I've ever seen. We were offered complimentary sliced oranges and a choice of orange cordial or white wine. The boat took us back to Akamas and we were taken to our last stop to see the Baths of Aphrodite where we had a final 30 minutes to explore. The bus then took us back to our collection points and we were back around 16:30 Priced at €28 per person this was an unmissable deal. We really thoroughly enjoyed our day out

Had a nice day - Loved the possibility to jump or slide off the boat into the blue lagoon. I also liked the trivia about Cyprus's fauna and flora and views from the bus ride.

Blue Lagoon day trip - Very good trip and I recommend using this company. Pick up was on time and both the driver an the guide (Kalina) work was brilliant. Very well organised and blue Lagoon itself is amazing place to visit. I can only say thank you and see you next time, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Fab trip - fills most of a whole day until say 4pm - The drive was good to the boat with commentary - the 'village' is nice. where you get on the boat is the place you get some time in after the boat comes back - i wasn't clear on this to start with. the boat anchors for the hour for getting in the water etc, i found this enough time, at the same time there is basic fruit and basic wine / orange juice served. Toilets and changing on boat - billed as glass bottom, and it is but possibly not as you envisage, there are 6 rectangles on a small part of the bottom but you can't really see much, so maybe don't book this is the main part you are looking for is a glass bottom boat. All in all we had a wonderful day with a really helpful and pleasant guide.

DO NOT USE EOS Tours - EOS cancelled our trip less than 24 hours before it was due to set off. They wrote to us claiming that they had to reschedule due to bad weather despite it being 26c and clear sky. We spoke to a local travel agent who said overall they get a lot of complaints about this provider. Additionally the provider delayed on issuing our refund withholding vital funds preventing us from being able to explore the trip with another provider. This is not a trusted provider id avoid for the sake of your holiday!
