- Museum of Tahiti and the Islands - Known as Te Fare Iamanaha, this museum is perfect for exploring the history of French Polynesia, from its people to the evolution of its traditions and customs over time. Renovated in 2023, visitors can enjoy a delightful experience, complete with a large garden and a sea view. (On days when the museum is closed, typically Mondays or when there is a high influx of visitors due to cruise ship arrivals, the visit will be substituted with a tour of the archaeological site of Marae Arahurahu).
- Maraa Grotto - Nestled in lush greenery, the Mara’a site features three natural caves carved into the rock. Constantly flowing water has created pools of fresh, clear water. Various plants, such as ferns and mosses, hang from the ceiling of each cave.
- Taharuu Beach - Taharu’u Beach is a stunning black sand beach located in the Papara commune on Tahiti’s west coast. It is an ideal spot for surfers, whether beginners or experienced, as it offers a well-protected area with excellent conditions for swimming and surfing.
- The Water Gardens of Vaipahi - The Vaipahi Water Gardens provide an opportunity to observe a variety of botanical species and aquatic plants, while also exploring historical remnants and the legend of the area.
- Faarumai Waterfalls - The three waterfalls in the Faarumai Valley originate from three different watersheds. The most accessible, just a short walk away, is called Vaimahuta, an 80-meter waterfall.
- Pointe Venus - Venus Point is situated in the north of Tahiti in Mahina. It is renowned for its stunning black sandy beach and its historic lighthouse.

Give yourself an introduction to the island of Tahiti - We enjoyed the trip around the island and learning a bit about the culture of the Tahitian people - and the island's flora and fauna. We had a couple hiccups when one person scheduled to go with us did not show up. The guide handled it well, though it did put us behind schedule.
Tahiti is beautiful. Much of the beauty is hidden. The signage on the island lacks somewhat, so it was nice to have someone get us from site to site.
This was a nice way to get a feel for the island.

Very rewarding excursion - Excursion faithful to the announcement. Our mistletoe DE Édouard was very professional and taught us a lot during this tour of the island. No solicitation for additional purchases during “tourist” stops which is very appreciable. He listened DE our group DE 5 people, very good experience, thank you Edouard!

The tour took us to many... - The tour took us to many beautiful sites. The tour follows the itinerary listed. Some reviews complained about not enough time at the beach so they clearly didn’t read the description.

Wow! What a great tour! Highly recommended - The tour of the island was truly a great one, with very interesting stops along the way around almost the entire island the sites were incredible. The tour guide, Edward was first class and took time to thoroughly explain as much as was needed... And even beyond his experience and knowledge of the island was evident and he was such a pleasure to spend time with.
There was no rushing us along. He took his time and answered as many questions as were asked and knew all of the answers. It was truly a beautiful day and a great experience. And he even stopped to get us cold water along the way and was very accommodating to make stops for the restrooms. Highly recommended!!

For a short stay in... - For a short stay in Tahiti Nui is highly recommended. Due to unforeseen circumstances of a road closure, our Tour Operator Ellis and our guide/Driver Edward still were able to provide a great insight, information and sight seeing of this beautiful island in a nice comfortable mini-van. Mauruuru!

Great tour, communication could be better. - There were communication problems which led to some upset and a late start. The tour itself was brilliant. Our guide shared so much info about history, culture, politics, plants and even birds. He even shared a taste of the island in the form of water chestnuts. The vehicle was clean and comfortable even for people sitting in the back. Make sure you are very clear about communicating the pickup or meet up point and everything will be great

Tour timing issues - While the tour had plenty of potential, not advertising start times then squeezing a 2nd 5 hr tour starting 1.30pm not ideal. Very had to make contact to confirm pickup. Guide enthusiastic but heavy French accent.
