Angkor Wat - The tour begins with a departure from the hotel lobby at 8:00 am, followed by a visit to the ticket office to purchase the necessary pass. It is advisable to buy a 3-day Temple pass for $62.00 per person. The tour will then proceed to explore the following temples:
Angkor Wat Temple, the largest religious monument globally, and the Angkor Thom City complex, renowned as the most prosperous and glorious city in ancient Khmer history. (South Gate, Smiling Temple, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Royal Palace, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Victory Gate).
Angkor Thom - The Angkor Thom City complex is celebrated as the most prosperous and glorious city in ancient Khmer history. (South Gate, Bayon Temple, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Royal Palace, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Victory Gate).
Bayon Temple - Bayon is a richly adorned Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Constructed in the late 12th or early 13th century as the state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, Bayon is situated at the center of Jayavarman’s capital, Angkor Thom.
Baphuon Temple - Baphuon is a temple located in Angkor, Cambodia, within Angkor Thom, northwest of Bayon. Built in the mid-11th century, it is a three-tiered temple mountain dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva, serving as the state temple of Udayadityavarman II.
Phimeanakas - Phimeanakas, or Vimeanakas, at Angkor, Cambodia, is a Hindu temple in the Khleang style, constructed at the end of the 10th century during Rajendravarman’s reign and completed by Suryavarman I as a three-tier pyramid.
Terrace of the Elephants - The Terrace of the Elephants is part of the walled city of Angkor Thom, a ruined temple complex in Cambodia. It served as a platform for King Jayavarman VII to view his victorious returning army. It was connected to the palace of Phimeanakas, of which only a few ruins remain.
Terrace of the Leper King - Located in the northwest corner of the Royal Square of Angkor Thom, Cambodia, the Terrace of the Leper King was built in the Bayon style under Jayavarman VII. Its modern name comes from a 15th-century sculpture found at the site, depicting the Hindu god Yama, the god of death.
Chau Say Tevoda - After a lunch break to enjoy traditional Khmer cuisine, the tour continues to Thommanon Temple, Chau Say Tevoda Temple, Ta Keo Temple, Ta Prohm Temple, famously known as a “Tomb Raider” filming location, Banteay Kdei Temple, and Sras Srang (ancient lake). The tour concludes at Sras Srang, with a return to the hotel or a drop-off at Pub Street upon request.
Ta Keo - Ta Keo is a temple-mountain in Angkor, possibly the first to be constructed entirely of sandstone by the Khmers.
Ta Prohm Temple - Ta Prohm is the modern name of the temple at Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries, originally called Rajavihara.
Banteay Kdei - Banteay Kdei, meaning “A Citadel of Chambers,” also known as “Citadel of Monks’ Cells,” is a Buddhist temple in Angkor, Cambodia, located southeast of Ta Prohm and east of Angkor Thom.
City Tour & Floating Village (Kampong Phluk)
Artisans Angkor - Established in 1999, Artisans Angkor aims to help young people find employment in their home villages, allowing them to practice their crafts and gain a vocation. It was part of a three-year project to integrate young artisans trained by the Chantiers-Écoles de Formation Professionnelle, focusing on reviving traditional craft skills such as stone carving, wood carving, lacquering, gilding, and silk processing. Emphasizing authenticity to Khmer culture, Artisans Angkor became a limited company in 2003 with minor public participation and is now fully self-financed.
Kampong Phluk Floating Village - Kampong Phluk consists of three villages of stilted houses within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap, about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap. Primarily Khmer, the villages have around 3,000 inhabitants. The surrounding flooded mangrove forest is home to diverse wildlife, including crab-eating macaques. During the dry season, when the lake is low, the buildings appear to soar on their 6-meter stilts. Many villagers move onto the lake, constructing temporary stilted houses. In the wet season, as water levels rise, they return to their permanent homes on the floodplain, with the stilts submerged. Kampong Phluk’s economy is primarily based on fishing, especially shrimp harvesting. The village sees relatively few foreign visitors, offering an authentic glimpse of submerged forest and lakeside village life, largely untouched by tourism.
