Great day in Tajikistan - The Communication before the trip was easy. We just wrote them via Whatsapp and received all important Information. The contact was friendly, the same counts for the drivers. Unfortunately they couldn‘t really speak english but we worked it out somehow and if you want an english Guide you can additionally book him, we only booked the budget Version and were only two people on the Trip. The Trip itself was also pleasant and our guide in tajikistan went to the bazar with us, to get lunch for later. The Lakes were also beautiful and it was cool to See the landscape during the drives. Also on top of the Mountain we meet tajikistan people who where really friendly and offenes us to Drink vodka with them and the Guide also organized a donkey to take photos with. I would definitly do it again and can recommend this tour.

Great experience! - We (two friends) really enjoyed our private tour to the seven lakes from samarkand! Our guide Ikrom was super nice, attentive, very knowledgeable and organised. He also guided us through the border control and on the tajik side. We felt save all the time. His English was perfect, the best we heard in Uzbekistan so far. Our tajikistan driver seemed really experienced in the mountain roads, he drove us safely with a 4*4 until the seventh lake. The lakes are so beautiful, they all have a different colour and story, we really recommend to go up until the seventh since it is the most beautiful one. We also highly recommend to try the local dish (qurutob) when you are back in town, it was delicious!

Trap for tourists - I booked a budget tour to the Seven Lakes in Tajikistan departing DA Samarkand, with no guide, no English speaking driver and no lunch for $200 for two people. So if you have the guide and lunch, imagine how much you go to spend! If you arrange with a local taxi DA Samarkanda to the Tajikistan border and then one from the border to the lakes, you pay less than half, as did people I met on the trip. I booked through Booking. Basically a tourist trap. A driver picks you up at the airport and gives you an envelope with $100, which you have to give to the other driver across the border and this already makes you understand the seriousness of the agency. They provide you with a 4x4 with a driver who drives recklessly and take you to see lakes accessible through winding roads overlooking the lakes themselves. The landscape would also be beautiful if it were not for the fact that all the villages on the banks of the river drain all their sewers there and the plastic, bottles, cans are everywhere. Our driver himself left a bag full of food residue on the shores of the last lake and to my reproach he said that then the children of the village, would collect it... do not drink the water of the lake and do not swim! Along the way to the lakes you find yourself following the trucks that work for the gold mines that are around so a lot of dust. The service offered is far from European standards and I felt treated with the same respect with which they treat the environment. This company has definitely not understood what quality tourism is. Surely they will comment on my review making various justifications. My personal opinion is: do not allow them to profit behind your back and do not allow tourism to be what they propose DA. Definitely agency not recommended
