Hopping around Panama City - Despite the poor reviews we were happy with this hop on/off bus. Gives you a great overview to the main sights in Panama City. The app with real time bus tracking is nice as well. My only complaint is the wait between buses is about an hour, although that gives you time to hop off and explore.

A unique way to see the city. - This is a great way to see the city. They have an app where you can follow the bus in real time which makes it easy to catch the bus after you get off. It was hard to hear and understand the commentators so you might want to do a little research on the stops before you go.

Just half the tour! - Tour guides were great. However due to holiday half the stops were closed. Not advised when booking through viator.com about this.

You end up waiting 30 mins - The price at $30 for 2 days is good but they only run the buses every hour and my experience was that they were always late and you ended up waiting 30 mins at least. I gave up on the first day and walked three miles back to the start. The route of the bus is good as it gets you out to the Canal and the three islands that would be more expensive by taxi. They need more buses and to run a half hourly service to avoid long waiting times.

Waste of money. - The bus only runs every 75 minutes. We got on at 2:50 pm at stop 11 and were told at stop 13 at the end of the line that we had to get off and there were no more busses. It was 3:15 pm at this time. We had to hail an Uber to get back to our hotel. The next day wasn't much better. The information provided was common knowledge in most cases. What a waste of money!

Don't - Unlike Cartagena in Columbia this was dreadful. Very poor information on route and we stayed on whole trip to run back to Old Town stop and had to get taxi back to port at cost of over 100usd. Map and route not good with a lot of double backing all in all experience to forget.

Save your money and take an Uber - Booked the hop on and hop off tour after enjoying it in other cities, but this was a disappointment in Panamá City. After purchasing tickets, we downloaded the app, which is supposed to tell you the bus arrival times and the location of the buses. The first bus of the day never showed up. Thankfully, there was another couple also waiting, so we passed the time by chatting. No bus locations were shown on the app. As the second planned arrival time came and passed, we were just leaving when a bus showed up. The bus was useful for seeing a portion of the city and we took it to the Panama Canal. The rep on the bus assured us that the bus ran every ~75 minutes, with the last bus at 4:00 p.m. When we left the Panama Canal at 2:30 p.m., we again waited for the bus. The first arrival time came and went with no bus, so we waited another 30 minutes. The app then indicated that the next bus would come the following day. So we grabbed an Uber. It was $10 and got us home right away. Nice and easy. Would definitely recommend taking a Uber instead of this disaster of a tour.

Buy on site not here - The ticked was not accepted on the buss… I didn’t get to enjoy. No one spoke English so I didn’t get held… don’t buy this online buy directly on site!

Worst Hop- on Hop- off ever! - We like to use Hop on Hop off on our vacations to get the landscape of a city and see a couple of sites. The Panama experience was terrible - we couldn't find a schedule and waited at a stop for a lengthy time only to find out that the bus wouldn't stop there due to it being Carnival. There was no good reason for it to not stop there as traffic was light and streets were open. We took an Uber to our first site and got on a bust there. It's 75 minutes between buses unlike other ones where it's 30, so you better not miss a bus time. The guided information was weak - just telling us what was there but no stories or context. Had to take an uber back at the end of the line as stops near our place were not operational and the stop at the end wasn't going to leave for a long time. For us, it was a complete waste of money and time. The only thing good was the app that showed where a bus is at on the map once they're up and running. Otherwise you'd have no idea when a bus might come to a particular station.

Beware! - Beware….. The hop on hop off bus in Panama City, Panama, has terrible, horrible service. We wasted so much of our vacation time in 90 above heat and 100% humidity, waiting for buses. The App said 10 min and several times we waited 40-68 minutes! We Just could not trust the App information and the chat person didn't help either. They just said..Wait! Some stops they passed by Not even stopping i waved my hands & they kept driving! We rode hop on hop off buses in other country's and city's, & never ecperienced this! I Will never recommend this company!!
