Highlights
  • Casco Viejo - Visiting the Casco is one of the most amazing, educational and fun activities we can do. Listening to the chimes of her churches reminds us that she is more alive than ever. In 1997, the Casco Viejo of Panama was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will walk through its streets, squares and admire its colonial architecture.
  • Panama Canal - A guided visit to the Visitor Center is offered where you can live a memorable experience. They will appreciate the operation of the canal locks. The perfect place to take pictures and keep a memory of this amazing work of engineering.

A 3D movie is shown on the IMAX screen in the visitor center. You will be able to rediscover the history of the Panama Canal as you have never seen it before.

  • Monumento a Goethals - We will pass by the Monument dedicated to the memory of Major General George Washington Goethals. It was inaugurated on March 31, 1954 and designed by Alfred Shaw, with the aim of carrying out the work of Goethals, who was a civil engineer and officer in the United States Army, and also carried out supervision of the Panama Canal.

Take into account that this area of the monument is very busy during peak hours after 3pm and in some cases the guide will not be able to visit the place.

  • Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - The Amador Causeway is home to many of the city’s top attractions. On one side, you can see the Pacific entrance for ships to the Panama Canal. You can visit some of the best Panamanian restaurants that surround the boardwalk and pick up some souvenirs with local products in duty-free shops. This causeway was built in 1913, by the United States government with rocks excavated from Culebra Cut, during the construction of the Panama Canal.

Highly recommended!!!!!!!! - The tour was spectacular!! The guide gave us detailed explanations of everything we saw, he even calculated the times extremely well so that we could go to the canal and see a cruise ship that was going to pass and before more people arrived, he even brought a cooler with water for us. What I liked the most is that it was private and it also helped us take beautiful photos!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!
