Fun Food tour with Sorhay in Panama City - We took a food tour with Sorhay in Panama City in April of 2024. Sorhay has connections with many businesses that prepare and sell food, so she knew where to take us. That enabled us to make several stops to taste authentic Panamanian food. She geared the tour to our interests, was fun to be with, and really enjoyed showing us her hometown. We saw places and things we could not have seen without a local guide.

An absolute must do tour! - We had a wonderful time spending the day touring Panama’s food scene with Sorhay and getting to see a sloth up close in Sorhay’s secret spot. She customized the tour for us since we wanted to experience true Panamanian cuisine and it did not disappoint. We learned so much about Panama and ate some truly wonderful dishes. I would suggest having her take you to get some Panamanian corn bread, it was fabulous and I wish I had the recipe! Thank you Sorhay for giving us an experience we will never forget! I would highly recommend this tour if you are in Panama, it is a must do.

My favorite food tour - I travel often and I go on a food tour every where I go. This one topped them all. I was a bit hesitant because there didn’t seem to be an itinerary of where we’d go. I actually called to find out the locations incase I wanted to book an additional food tour.. and to make sure I wouldn’t go to the same places. Well I learned that she planned to cater the day/locations to what worked best with our group. Her approach, friendliness, choices in food all were awesome. I took this tour with my parents and two siblings.. everyone was impressed (5 adults). She made our first full day in Panama an absolute great one. She also helped us figure out other activities/restaurants during our stay. If you like food.. if you want to explore with a funny and personable guide.. you should book this tour.

Best Tour Ever! - I have been on many tours in several countries (both paid and free) and I can without hesitation say that this was one of the best ones I’ve ever been on. Sorhay was an amazing tour guide! She made sure everyone one was comfortable, checked in on allergies or dietary restrictions, and customized the tour specifically for us. She led us on a tour through Panama City and we got to try the most amazing food and see beautiful sights. From fancy restaurants to the fruit market, everything was delicious and fresh. Honestly, I think I’m ruined for pineapples - they just won’t taste the same in California. I brought my 81 year old grandmother and she absolutely loved it. The air conditioned bus that took us to each stop really helped! :) Do not go to Panama City without booking this tour - I cannot recommend it enough!

Awesome! - We had a wonderful time exploring many different foods of Panama! Sorhay is the best! She is very engaging and knowledgeable. For our family of 6 adults, it was incredible! Sorhay took all the time necessary to show us so many different foods. One highlight was the fruit market - so many new fruits to try! This is a great tour that takes you all around the city. This tour was one of the highlights of our first-time trip to Panama!

A MUST in Panama City!! - This food tour was incredible and an absolute must do experience when traveling to Panama City. Sorhay was amazing and catered the tour to our food preferences while doing a great job of showcasing many different aspects of Panamanian culture through food. The food was served promptly upon arrival and the portions were plenty! I had the best food of my entire life on this tour.

Best. Food. Tour. Ever. - Our tour guide was the absolute best. It was a private tour which meant, she gave us the choice on which locations she wanted to take us based on what we wanted to eat. We learned some Panamanian history and got to meet some amazing ppl at each restaurant. This was like no other experience I’ve had before. Ooh and her English made this tour such a great experience as well. 10/10. This by far is thee best food tour I have ever had. Very intimate and the food was simply delicious.

The best food tour and guide EVER!!! - What an AMAZING experience! The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious but Sorhay was the magic ingredient. She customized the tour along the way to ensure we had a taste of everything we wanted. So much variety, education, and great conversation along the way. She even made a special stop for us to see a sloth up close and personal right in the middle of the city! We travel often and food tours are our favorite activity - this was the best one we have ever been on and Sorhay is one of the most genuinely lovely people we've ever met in our travels - do not miss meeting her when you are in Panama. Best Food Tour Ever! - This was the most amazing foodie adventure and we loved every minute of it! Our guide, Sorhay, will personalize your culinary tour and it won't disappoint! The foods were amazing and she gave us a tour a Panama City between stops. Sorhay speaks perfect English and is enthusiastic to share Panamanian culture with you. We were SO impressed that we booked a second day with her company, The Real Panama Tours. We planned a private hike through the rainforest along Pipeline Road, visited the Sloth Sanctuary, and viewed the Panama Canal locks & 3D/IMAX movie A Land Divided a World United. This was narrated by Morgan Freeman and was very informative regarding the history of the Canal. Our guide, "Nacho", is a friendly botanist who is very knowledgeable about indigenous flora and fauna. It was a PLEASURE to spend the day with him. Both days we moved at our own pace and never felt rushed.

Best thing I did during my time in Panama - I truly had the time of my life on this tour! Sorhay is THE BEST! This was the best thing I did throughout my entire trip to Panama. It is worth every penny. Sorhay picked us up from our hotel, we were able to stay nice and cool in a comfy air conditioned SUV, and she spent time getting to know us and then gave us options for what foods to find and explore based on our interests! It was hard not to stuff ourselves. The food was amazing - many of the things we had being the best I've ever had in my life and many of them being things I've never had before! This was a great way to get the lay of the land and learn more about the country, culture and food. Sorhay was wonderful to spend time with and this was so much more than a food tour! It felt like meeting a new friend! She also took time to help us find souvenirs and showed us some wildlife in the city (no spoilers) that we would have paid for a whole other tour to see! I will literally be booking this tour again when I come back to Panama because I know it will be different every time.
