PS The schedule is flexible and will adapt to the interests and pace of participants. Stops will be made to search, observe, and pinpoint birds, continuing when everyone is ready. Playback and a green laser pointer may be used when necessary.
OPTIONAL, not included in the price: The Panamá Rainforest Discovery Center (PRDC). At the Center, admire various species of hummingbirds, walk private trails, explore Calamito Lake with its “mirador,” and enjoy excellent birdwatching from the top of the tower, 40 meters above the ground, offering a panoramic view. This is the best opportunity to spot raptors and canopy specialties not visible from the ground. Participants must agree to the visit and be willing to pay the $25 USD ticket on-site.

Panama Pipeline Road (Camino del Oleoducto as in Spanish) is one of the best birding spots in America, rated as one of the most accessible tropical forest in the world exceeding the 400+ species recorded and counting. Being at 45 minutes and early morning ride ride from Panama city will offer a morning to begin searching for forest raptors , canopy birds, toucans, parrots, hummingbirds woodpeckers and with patience, good ears and little luck the guide will locate army ants to find ant swarms specialists : Bicolored, Ocellated and, Spotted Antbirds, Woodcreepers and more.
- Lunch Stop Included - Birders pay for their own meals.
- Bring binoculars, scope (optional), field guide, notebook and camera (optional).
- Light clothing is recommended: cotton shirts or t-shirts - earth colors preferable- long (preferable) and short pants, poncho, hiking shoes, hat, insect repellent and sun block. Dress as for tropical hot humid weather and be ready for rain.
