Journey by kayak along the magnificent Chagres River, just before it converges with the vast Gatun Lake, a central navigation route for large sea vessels transitioning between oceans. The Chagres River, the Canal’s main water source is a tranquil passage, where you can immerse in the humming sounds of the diverse wildlife inhabiting this dense rainforest.
You may get the chance to spot a sloth resting in a tree, observe a bright-hued bird calmly dwelling in the wilderness, or discover caimans, turtles, and other local fauna among the aquatic flora.
Following a brief trek to the quaint port utilized by the Embera natives in Gamboa, our tour, which lasts approximately an hour and twenty minutes on the kayak, will allow you to truly soak in the area’s beauty. Rest assured, you’ll be accompanied by our bilingual guide, and possibly an Embera guide from the region, someone who truly knows this unique place inside and out.
