He has a special knack to make Goanese culture, traditions, mysteries / myths, and his special love for everything Goan come out succintly and understandable to those new to Goa. The walk was more of an informal chat all through, putting us at ease and gave us courage to delve into popular myths. For instance why the tour is to showcase 'colonial quarters' and NOT 'latin quarter'. Thank you Mario for this clarity. Fantastic - The second tour I took with Mario was to see the Goa of the past in the present. The walk in the Fontainhas neighborhood was wonderful and the coffee break at the 31 de Janeiro confectionery was delicious, where I tasted the best drink of my life. There are also other Goan specialties that I ate and recommend. Gastronomy is part of the culture of a people and Goan in particular is one to eat and cry for more. I also recommend the tour where you visit a "spice plantation" with a delicious lunch, followed by a guided tour of the plantation!

Fontainhas Goa Review - Fontainhas is a small, old part of Goa that is very colorful and charming. The narrow streets and old Portuguese-style houses make it a beautiful place to walk around. The walls of the houses are painted in bright colors, and some houses have pretty balconies and windows. It is a peaceful place compared to the busy beaches of Goa. There are small cafés and shops where tourists can enjoy snacks or buy souvenirs. Walking through Fontainhas feels like seeing the history and culture of Goa up close.
