The reviews speak for themselves:
Amazing day with amazing memories - Amazing day. The balloon was very well organised and we had an amazing time. The transfer overall was long (5 hours each way) but worth the journey. Pamukkale was nice and crowded which was to be expected. One thing to note is that it is an extremely long day, ours started at 00:15 and finished at 18:30 so make sure to have plenty of snacks and drinks as food and drink stops are scarce. The thrill of floating above the ancient city of Hierapolis, with its ruins whispering tales of the past, is an experience that stays with you long after you’ve touched down. The balloon ride is a perfect blend of tranquility and excitement, offering a unique perspective of Pamukkale’s stunning landscapes.
Exploring the Terraces and Beyond
Once you’ve landed, the adventure continues on foot. The terraces of Pamukkale, formed by calcium deposits from thermal springs, are a sight to behold. Walking barefoot on these natural formations is a sensory delight, as the warm waters soothe your feet and the cool breeze brushes against your skin. The Balloon Tour also offers a chance to explore the nearby Hierapolis archaeological site, where ancient Roman baths and a grand theater await your discovery.
The weather on May 24th and 25th is perfect for exploration, with temperatures ranging from 62.7°F to 82.8°F and clear skies providing excellent visibility. The low humidity and gentle breeze make it an ideal time to wander through the ruins and imagine life in this ancient city. Don’t forget to pack sunscreen, as the UV index is high, ensuring you stay protected while you soak in the history and beauty of Pamukkale.
A Culinary Journey
No adventure is complete without indulging in the local cuisine. After a morning of exploration, treat yourself to a traditional Turkish breakfast, included in the Balloon Tour. The flavors of fresh bread, olives, cheese, and honey are a delightful way to refuel and reflect on the morning’s adventures.
For lunch, the open buffet included in the Hot Air Balloon Ride offers a variety of dishes that showcase the rich culinary heritage of the region. From savory kebabs to sweet baklava, each bite is a celebration of Turkish culture and hospitality.
As the day winds down, take a moment to relax and enjoy the sunset over the terraces. The play of light and shadow on the white cliffs is a mesmerizing sight, a fitting end to a day filled with adventure and discovery. Whether you’re soaring above the clouds or exploring ancient ruins, Pamukkale promises a weekend of natural wonders and unforgettable experiences.
